We didn't get much, other than rain and wind in my area (Antlers). At one point, I was outside taking pictures of my chicks and darned if the wind and rain didn't start up. lol, I gave up and went inside.

I think Blue is the place to go if you want to buy run of the mill chicks, ducks, & turkey poults for cheap. There wasn't much variety of breed beyond old english and sex links (and some of those were questionable). A few silkies, but not much. Lots of mallards that it seemed people were reluctant to buy. Guineas & Peacocks are popular. Lots of "auracana" and "ameraucana" hatching eggs..

Grace, I couldn't buy because I didn't get myself a bidding number.

I really did want those blue silkie chicks that were sold. Maybe next time!
Glad the little guy is enjoying his new home!

Carla, that rat was huge. I doubt any cat would tangle with it! lol I have to go back, I never took a tour of the "consession" stand.

Egh, glad the storm didn't take out your computer

ChicknGurl, ahah! Not getting a bidding number..... now that was a good move

Wind and rain (for about 10 min.) was all we got here, too.

Krysstyllanthrox, glad you and your office building (

This was in the Penny News: Wanted! Chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats, etc to sell at 3pm on the 2nd and 4th saturday of the month, Mtn. View sale barn.

Has anyone been to this? I think they just started selling the Chickens maybe, cause I went a few years ago and it was just goats and horses then. My baby granddaughter and I may just have to check this out this weekend, since I'll be babysitting down that way!!

I don't think it will last long, he's still allergic! *haha*

The rain got crazy here yesterday. I was at work, and we got the heavy rain while they were having the circulation a little north of us. The rain was blowing straight; it blew open the Atwoods doors and flooded the front of our store!

Foghorn, were you at Atwoods today???

Yeah I did go in there, I wanted to see what kind of fence materials they had. I always have to look at the chicks and be tempted there!! They really have a nice assortment!! There was some ducks with poofs on their heads that were so cute and it was breeds I didn't have!! And some really cute bantams! I thought about getting a few, but I didn't want to get the Poultry Police (aka- Elvin) on my tail! LOL

I thought I saw you! If you were wearing a Chickasha shirt. *ha* I'm a cashier now, so I'm inside all of the time. I'm one of the few cashiers that wears a red Atwoods shirt instead of the vest.

The little crested ducklings are my favorite! That's what mine was, it turned out to be a Fawn and White Runner.

Yeah I was wearing my purple school shirt, I'll be so glad when school is out here in two weeks!!! I'll have to look for you next time I go in there! Oh and I was going to tell you, there is a rabbit show next month in Duncan. A friend from work used to show and judge rabbits, so she talked me into this!! We're planning on going to the Duncan show and looking at rabbits!! I think she wants Californias and Satins. I'm thinking I want the Netherland Dwarfs. I read where they only have 2 or 3 per litter! And they stay small. I really don't want to get overrun by rabbits! I already have plenty of farm rabbits from Country Store! It would be fun to have a great big Flemish Giant though!!

Anyway the show is June 20 & 21.

Foghorn Leghorn,
Do you ever take any rabbits to the Harrah auction to sell?

I would like to buy some large size rabbits, but won't be able to attend the Duncan rabbit show in June. Do you know of any other rabbit shows in Central Oklahoma during May or early June?

The hens are crosses and on the eggs I have Welsummers. Gold Campines, some blue EE's and Marans.
If I get a dozen of my barnyard menagerie eggs I may bring them since I have about eight dozen of those in the fridge now to eat.
Hope to see you there!
Monty
