We only bought cages. The auction house isn't going to have poultry auctions anymore, so they sold all their cages. We only came home with 5 cages, but they are all double or more ... a couple are 5 or 6 holer's and I paid from $2 -8 each on them. It took some doing to get them all in the back of the ford ranger pickup. We did better than most of the other BYC Okies there. Most were still there when we left trying to figure out how to pack all they bought in their vehicles ....

I hope they make it home ok ... especially those 2 Foss Lake Okies. I don't know how they'll get everything they bought on their truck

Don, it doesn't have a "cord" so if she likes to do the yard you may have done okay - on the other hand, please be sure and post tomorrow and let us know that you are still alive and well after the gift is unveiled.

We really aren't that far from Jones, I will miss the poultry auction there.
Hubby came by on his way home from the 11yr old grandson's baseball tournament in Edmond and took the 10 bags of shavings home with him. They barely fit into the trunk and the back seat of the car.

Chiclooker and Oldmotherhen helped me load the cages into the van. The pet carrier that arrived in Jones with chickens, went home inside the dog crate that transported the chocolate tom. The crate that transported the turkey hen to Jones went home with hatching eggs, and some beekeeper stuff that was already in the van, inside of the crate. The rabbit went home in a small pet carrier that took a rooster to Jones and all the cages were stacked liked puzzle pieces in the back of the van on top of the crates and in the middle seat. I actually could have taken at least 5 bags of the shavings home in the van, since there was still room in the middle seat and the front seat.

I love the challenge of packing the van when I go to an auction.

Hey Carla, here are your two chicks- gadget and gizmo- they are precious- gizmo (white one) seems a bit smaller than gadget- is that normal to have a little bit size diff?

I do have some a little smaller than others, but mostly the size difference is in the roos .... boys get bigger than the girls. It's still too hard to tell from your picture if you have girls or boys though. Probably in another couple of weeks or a month we can have a good guess at it.

Thank you! I get to see my daughter, son-in-law and my favorite & only granddaughter tomorrow. I'm excited! Then we go visit my parents!

Somebody is going to fill their incubator up soon, huh?

Congratulations on your packing job. I sure hope everyone else makes it home OK with all their winnings.
