Oh my that is alot to have on your plate! I hope that the process goes quickly for you. How long do they think it will take to get approval??

God will not give you more than you can handle. Even when it feels that way. I wish I could wrap my arms around you and give you a hug.

On the blessing side it seems that you mom is liking the place that she is at. That is wonderful in it's self. We moved my husbands grandmother 3 times before she was happy. She was 94 years old, we just lost her this past March.

My prayers are with you!

Henny have you also applied for the SSI or is she not elagible for that? It too can take a long time to be approved but the nursing homes and places like them have a way of speeding things up.

Teva and I have a daughter in a long term care facility due to an auto accident when she was just 2. It's very hard at first but she has always recieved the best of care which takes a real load off of our minds.

Y'all make me feel so much better... NN she has Social Security, but that is it.... I am really hoping that this goes quickly....She really does seem OK there...She has made some friends and they hang out by the dumpster and smoke.... I had to laugh. Something you would beat your kid for, and they do it all the time....But they are nice folks, she drug me out there while they smoked. It was pretty cool.... she loves the nurses and those ladies rock out.... I wish I was rich so I could do some stuff for them.... "thank you" seems so inept.... They are the best... even though they did dump her roomate over in her wheelchair in the van... but that's another story....

I ordered some eggs from the big Greybear and he has Paypal, so I got an account, but you have to link it to your checking account and Hubby gets nervous about that....Do you all have accounts? I am thinking of just doing it and he can squawk.... Have you guys ever had trouble with them? I have an account, but hooked up to a credit card....not the bank... what if they frig up??? And with my luck.... They would make some kind of mistake that would take decades to get fixed and hubby would be griping the whole time....

Al, even though I am not a mom, Mike got me flowers, and I shaved my legs!! HAHAHAH! The red wine might have improved my day... maybe tomorrow. I am on a Kendall Jackson Chardonnay jag... I have 2 bottles stashed in there for "emergencies" I have been drinking this stuff from StableRidge recently.... It's a peach wine that doesn't taste like Boonesfarm...The stuff would be great at a wedding in the summer. I have to go to Stroud.... in August when my sis comes out.... I will dittybop out there and invest.

Al, Thanks a lot. My wife saw your pics. She said thats looks really good. Where are the samples? Nice job Al as usual.
All I fixed was a smoked pork tenderloin, smoked chicken. baked beans, potato salad. Some of the other folks that came here brought some stuff too mainly desserts.
I don't have any pics to back it up though.
It was pretty tasty if I do say so myself.

That was nice of him, your a good mother to more folks and animals than you think. I just cracked open this case of Placido imported Chianti 2005 it is just now starting to peak, it was a fantastic bottle with just enough Tannins and a little oakey with good legs on the glass, it will do. now if the rest of the case is as good I will be sittin pretty. I candled the BBS Orp eggs in the bator for day 10 and sad to report only a third look good, the rest were clear and 1 blood ring. Dang i was hoping for better results from them, they seem to have shipped well, but what the heck.

How on earth do I candle or see development in these quail eggs??. did you get yours yet??.

Henny :

There is an awesome wine cellar here in Lawton that carries at least 5000 bottles from as many vinyards and vintages as well. I duck hunt with the owner and we visit about what is coming new for the year and what is peaking, you should plan a trip down sometime and I'll take you there. you should find some great wines at good bargans, the cellar is at least 2500 sq ft climate controlled and they hold tastings all the time from various vinyards throughout the world.

Man, ... I thought I went all out. That bucket of KFC and bottle of sneaky pete just doesn't stack up to what Al did. Although I did go the extra mile and sprung for the real leather gloves for operating those post hole diggers. I figure she will appreciate them and be willing to work longer/harder to show me how much.

Okay fellow Okies....I have a wonderful offer to make to any of you that are interested in getting involved in the Lavender Orpington Project. I have a young lavender rooster, hatched in February....and 4, 2 day old split/lav chicks available. The rooster is from one line, the chicks from another line....all come from hinkjc's lavender project. I hatched these myself, from my own project birds. The lavender rooster, bred to the split chicks will give you 50% lavender offspring...(though I've been getting a higher percentage than that myself). The chicks are straight run. If you are interested in these birds, please PM me for pricing info. I would offer these on Eggbid, but I'm not wanting to ship at this time...besides, I'd like to see another Okie end up with them..
