Thanks all. He is Ok for now............ I am watching him, we I say we HE that was bitten went out and got the snake it is a copperhead about 8-10 inches long. The swelling is a bit bad but the turning black is still just around his finger tip and not past his 1st knuckle. I WILL be watching him all night tonight. Made a poultice of mustard and egg yolk seems to help with what I dont have a clue.
He has no pain YET.

Tell Lynn.....for today...you're the boss........get him IN to the
ER !!!! The "little copperheads" are worse than the "big 'uns"....
My middle son was in Hillcrest in Tulsa last summer for 5 days
for a bite on his "FINGER'...........

I'd have called you, but got soooo shook up reading this...I
don't have a clue where I wrote your cell number down.......

Please make him go in and get checked........We all know better...
but that don't whip (you know what) at the far end.

LYNN.....be the boss........tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please let us know...................

Ok here is my 2 cents on the snake bite. If he wont go to the hospital give him a large dose of benadryl it is a histamine blocker and will help things not get so bad. I know when our dog got bit the vet gave her 50mg and that seemed huge to me. An adult can take two benadryl at a time.

I hope and pray he's ok.

We went through the benadryl stuff with Bill's Dad three years
ago when we got him to the ER.......They put it in his IV........
He had , as best they could count, 267 wasp stings....at 87 years
old !!!!!!!! Have you worked in an ER yet? Lynn needs to go
to the hospital !!!!!!!!!

I would be interested in a hen - One of my black shouldered peahens died Sunday - no blood or obvious sign of injury, just on the ground beneath her perch

Thanks for thinking of me
