Dang it... I hate putting away the hose! Now I gotta carry water... yee-haw. Thanks for mentioning it Country... otherwise wouldn't have known... last time I checked it was supposed to be in the 40s all week... ahhhh... Oklahoma weather... you just never know! Tomorrow it could be back up to 90 degrees... Dang... I hate putting away the hose... summer's over...
Cammie, I know! The first thing I thought of is, hey, me and Cammie both have bunnies now
I think just about everybody there was BYC member, but there weren't as many of those (BYC members) as I'd like there to have been. I am definitely hoping for a bigger turnout next year!
Grace, How pretty! They just look like 3 giant colored cotton balls in the picture, its so cute. That is so exciting, be sure to get some more pictures of the bunnies at home. Maybe my Bun Bun can come visit
Do you know if they're male or female yet? Thanks for posting the link to the other pictures. I like how there's the picture of your 3 bunnies, and right below a picture of 3 pomeranians.

Oh, I'm glad you said that because it reminded me of something! Around November 29 (it's a Friday and Saturday) there's a really big rabbit show in Duncan. I'm thinking about showing there, but I will at least go to look around. Maybe you can come by

The one on the left is a buck, and the other two are does.

hey grace who was the one selling them, lisa or lashawna? Lisa who is pudge on the site here she rasies and shows rabbits too. she has a really cute black velvety one I really like to have. we got a rabbit for haley at the auction for .75 and it just runs loose around the farm here.
Hey Country...
Yep!! Hubby put them away tonight after work. I did the same thing as you last winter... this year I am going a different way. Over the summer I had to buy a second waterer (kept adding chickens!). So this winter I am going to rotate them every day... take one out in the morning filled up and bring in the other one... clean it... repeat. I will see how that goes. I bet we had hundreds of cranes flying south over our house today! That seems ominous... they usually don't go by till the middle of November. The hens were tripping out every time they flew over... heads cocked... staring up into the sky. I could tell they were befuddled! I told Hubby everything has been one month early... means it should snow here around Thanksgiving. It usually waits till December 20 something. I remember taking cookies to one of my neighbors for Christmas the first year we were here and it was 17 degrees!! I love it here!! Can't wait for spring... maybe some storms... which I LOVE! Didn't get hardly any this last year, only one good one that plastered the whole town. Guess that made up for little ones! HAHA!
Henny, what city do you live in?? Or how far are you from OKC? You sound like me when it comes to weather. Everyone I know is dreading snow, but I LOVE it! When I was a kid we'd get lots of snow, I have great pictures. But here in Chickasha we just get ice anymore.
My in-laws had ducks a while back, she said they'd all lay on the ground when things flew over. Even airplanes.
I don't guess I've ever seen cranes migrate, just the Canadian Geese. I bet they're pretty! We've had a beautiful lone crane visiting the stream behind our house lately.
Mrsb, that's what they say here. And they say one acre PER animal... But my wonderful hubby did point out that the ordinance actually says HOOVED animals, not farm animals. So we'll see how it goes. Yours may be the same way! I think if you've got non-crowing hens, and neighbors who don't mind, I would definitely try it. Unless you gave them your name when you asked officials about the ordinance.
