Carla... that is a cool idea... something maybe with the shape of the state with a chicken in a bandana riding a Harley across Route 66!! Just kidding... but I love the idea. Has anyone else pre-ordered the BYC university sweatshirts? they are pretty cool as well. Stimp I don't know where you get your signature lines, but they are awesome... I can't wait to see what you have next!! Country... Glad you are safe and sound!

One of the 3 chicks has splayed legs, so I fitted it with a brace tonight to hopefully straighten it up some.

WE might make it to the Cement auction .... it's entirely possible .... if we leave the Chupps auction by noon! It's only a 4 hour drive, I think. Gerald hasn't totally ruled it out yet. I told him I know he wants to go to Cement too, if only to say hi to all our okie friends there! He agreed! I don't know if we'll be able to get away from the Chupps auction that soon though. It depends on what all is there for sale and if we buy anything.

Al, are you needing any Buff O chicks? I'm down to my last brooder with them and they're a month old. I told Gerald we should stop hatching them and sell the eggs for eating until chick time again in the spring. We're still hatching our silkie and our turken eggs, but stopped hatching all the others.

If we have time, I could drop by my house & pick up some birds before going to Cement. YES, Gerald and I are crazy!

So what's everyone doing for Halloween? Dressing up their chickens??

They're having a pumpkin decorating contest where I work; I wanted to dress one like a chicken, but they're tiny tiny pumpkins! Any ideas??

BYC Okie shirts would be a great idea! But I think the BYC shirts would be good too. I've just gotta get one...

Cammie, yes, the Cement auction begins at 5:00 pm. You should buy some pullets & hens, now that your dear hubby has softened up and allowed you to keep some chickens!

Gosh, I wish I could think about Halloween. I have to work Friday until midnight

I was excited about passing out candy to trick-or-treaters for the first time, since we live in town now. But its Senior night at the football game, and I have to stand on the field with my little sister.

I'd love to buy some girls, but I've got these two in the garage already. I don't wanna push my luck with the hubby and the law. (Is that a pun?) But if (crossing fingers) these two turn out to be roos, I will be buying some hens. I love it when they hatch, but then I want them to be grown! The in between stage is so goofy.

Dang it!! I really wanna go to Cement... hubby is trying to get someone to cover him as I want to bring some stuff to sell. Have some cochins and stuff... mostly ROOs .... ARRGGHH. I am going to keep those Delawares. Some of those hens are really pretty. I have the red Pyle roo and the Black banty roo... they are pretty! Pretty sure Im going to take those... and them some weird looking things... One looks like a barred rock ... but it is really light barring on the head... the legs are not yellow, and it has green eyes... I was hoping it was a cuckoo maran, but I doubt it. Country it would be great to meet you!! Carla do you ever hatch out bourbon red turkeys... I want a pair or maybe a trio? Was thinking about hatcheries, but I don't need a huge amount... just want a couple to pester me in the yard. Is itr true that it is OK to put them with chickens if ya just have a couple? Anyways let me know... Just want them for pets. Glad everyone didn't get burned out... jeez the south winds in spring and fall scare me. Spring is worse cause I am surrounded by wheat fields... last spring a wheat field across the road caught, but one of the farmers got it out with his backhoe... jeez... scary stuff... I'm picturing myself trying to get 40 hens in the truck... Lol. See you guys... Stimp come to Cement! Or are you going to CHupps... gotta check that one out one of these days!
