I have been gone for a while as well. I hurt my knee somehow and I haven't been getting around very well. I thought it would give me more time to sit here at the computer but sitting here makes it hurt worse. I can't keep it in a comfrotable position while at the computer.
I am supposed to go in for an MRI sometime.
The Shawnee show, which I have been looking forward to since last year may be out of the picture depending on how my leg does.
Hopefully I can get better and go.
It is good to see that so many are planning to go.

Not getting any snow or ice here around Tahlequah, but it sure
looks yucky out there. Thankfully, it sounds like it will straighten
up and we'll have a nice weekend.

I'm anxious to see what the weather does this evening/tonight in the Tulsa area. Lots here at work are spooked cause it is the 1 year anniversary of the ice storm. Which I was out of state for, I was in North Carolina and we had 70 degree temps that week.

We ordered a wood burning stove and it came in on Saturday. It is in pieces in my living room and I'll get it assembled some time this week. Then I just need to get some wood to burn in it!

Not having a truck means I have to pay for delivery.

I've got flags in the back yard where I am thinking of building the coop so that Hubs could visualize how much space it will actually take up. One of these days I'll actually rent a post hole digger and start buying lumber so I can frame everything out and get going.

Stay safe tonight and tomorrow everyone. You okies seem to largely forget how to drive when anything falls from the sky.

i liv n of tulsa in nowata.everything is iced up here.an its sleeting alittle right now.just hope no ice storm like last year.we were with out power for several days.i have 120 eggs in my incubator right now an i hate to lose them.had 500 bob white set last year when we lost power a kept candles burning in my incu an still hatched 357.probally wont get that lucky this time

Okay, give me the scoop on the Shawnee poultry show!!
Both the DH and I will have a long hard week this week, so we thought it would be nice to get away. So with everyone excited about Shawnee, I thought it might be kinda neat to go there as a get away.

It will be about a 3 hr. drive for us.

What all goes on there, is there vendors? I have read that there will be birds for sale, will there also be eggs?

What time is the best time to go? When is everyone going to try to meet? How will we know each other?

There will be a few vendors there, many breed clubs, the APA and Smith Poultry Supply will have a lot of things to buy. There will be birds, cages and just about everything poultry.
The easiest way to recoginize me is that the wife will be one of the few there with a braided ponytail that reaches well below her beltline.

I think we will be heading down early Saturday morning!! Hubby and I both work on Friday, plus I figger'd that there would not be a hotel/motel within a hundred miles of Shawnee.

I would really like to meet the Okie BYC'ers. Is any of you guys bringing poultry to show or sell??

Hey mikarod how will we recoginize you? Will you be wearing the yellow chicken suit??

I haven't figger'd out a way for you guys to recoginize us. Hubby is 6'6" He will probably be wearing a green hat with a Q on it. And I probably will have a grey hoodie on that will have TUNE on the back, or a kelly green hoodie.

guy with the flat top and a black jacket with Hardesty FFA on the back and a hog in the middle! Should have a couple kids running with me...unless they did something bad in which I never saw them before!
