I actually thought of you last night as I stood on the back porch and watched the lightening and listened to the thunder.
It didn't take me long to get enough after lightening hit close by.
Did you not get any of this stuff?

Not a cloud...not drop...not a flash...not a rumble....I'm going to sue.

Is that the one that hit the airbase so hard... ? Those C-5's looked like they had been tossed around like tinker toys. Musta been something! That storm that hit us last June was decent, my hubby racked up 242 hours in 2 weeks getting the power back on after that fiasco. There is a big argument over whether or not it was a tornado. FEMA doesn't pay out as much if it's not I guess. I still think it was just a downburst.

WELL.......way up here in the Northeast corner notwisters here! On North in Kansas at Mulberry wher we picked up a dogpen we bought of f craigslist.

But we did get a deluge of rain, I had my teenage chicks out in a dog pen with 2 dog houses and 19 of them drowned

. Hubby saved 18 Buff Orpingtons but most of whet I got from okcarla drowned. We have a cuckoo maran and a turken left

They was just no smart enough to get out of the rain!! I was in the hospital, had surgery yesterday, so the boys tried. Kiddo said we lost on 3 last night when he checked this morning, the second rain storm late this morning must have taken out the rest when hubby came to pick me up.

All of Shaun's show bird in the pens are ok, it was just the chicks.
I guess I will have to buy more at the okie swap!!

Okcarla, my prayers are with you and your grandbaby

it does look like it's praying in the ultra sound picture. Like it's (he or she ?) is saying "Look I am ok, trust God!, I will be ther soon!"

Lots of wind, lightning and rain here in Tahlequah, but nothing
severe. That is such a tragedy down at Lone Oak. My oldest
son is just south of OKC and said they got quite a bit of hail,
but no tornados.

Pa-Pa and the kids went to Mr. Kvittum's seminar at Pryor
last night. They really enjoyed it and came home with
more new information. In one of their discussions, it came
out that TJ has been AI'ing his cochins. Several asked if
this 10 year old would show them how to do it.....LOL
Fred McGehee taught him. TJ calls it "gathering the
fertilizer"....LOL Somehow I don't think this would work
well for "show and tell" on Thursdays in the 3rd grade,
though.

Guess we're set on "go" for the Pryor Bantam Show. It
sounds like it will be a really good show.

Have a good one !

Oh I'm so sorry you lost so many chicks. That happened to me last year after a big rain storm. They were all piled on top of each other and only those on top survived. Why they didn't go inside their building, I don't know. Teenagers!

Thanks for the comments on my granddaughter's ultrasound pic. She does look like she's praying! That's what I need to continue to do and I appreciate everyone's else's prayers, too.

I'll be at Prague Friday. If anyone has nice white silkie hens, welsummer hens, or polish, I'd like to know as we will be in the hunt for those. Shoot me a PM if you expect to be there and will hove those birds.

great where abouts, we live in the country off of Trail rd & Carleson rd, ask them if they know where that is. where in Elgin are they??, do they live in town??.

AL

They moved from Fletcher to Elgin a few years ago. They live in town.

Her mother is my wife's (Sue) sister. Sue and her sister were raised on a small farm in the same community that we live in now. Her sister went city girl on us, but Sue stayed country.

Our FFA teacher for years, passed away last year. He was from Fletcher, just down the road from you.
