I think the way we are going with the food, is we all pitch in and bring food. I think the guys have the meat part down ( I could be wrong) and us lady folk bring side dishes.

If it is at Lex, there is electric if we wanted to hook up a crock or such thing, but then again we would be using their electricity. We would not need to use the lights that much we could open the main door.

Oh something we would need to think about is place settings, plastic ware, napkins, plates cups? I will bring baked beans, corn casserole(gawd that is bomb) and bit of plates, plastic ware and a bundle of napkins. Am I jumping the gun?

Yes i would think you are a member here. We are pretty much laid back people.

I dont have any pure breed eggs at this point, might maybe by then. I just got to get the all separate. I am about an hr or so from you. I do have alot of barn yard specials.

Don't think you are jumpoing the gun at all with the idea on plates and such! I am in favor of it!

I think we have meat mainly taken care of...we need more desserts...lots more desserts...brownies (fudgie ones with no nuts!)...and coolwhippy desserts...and yeah a fat guy is thinking about dessert

Greybear - what kind of pigeons?

I have rollers, Indian fantails, Cappuchines, West of Englands, Classic Frills, Swallows...soon to have Lahores and maybe some Giant homers...?

Hi Teach, who had the German Beauties you turned down? We (my son and I) had a few flying rollers, racing homers, a cappuchin, a pair of tipplers may have some meat birds a guy I know has that he has blended Kings and runts together and come up with what he calls super kings. Am suppose to get some gamehens from him also for setting hens, Lynn

Teach, I could hook you up but it might be awhile as I only have 1 pair laying right now.

I would like to see those super kings, I would like to have some of those pretty birds, But I can't afford to feed them, if they are not earning their own keep.

Hi Don, do you have pigeons? The super Kings are designed for squabbing to eat. I myself have not eaten squab but hear it is good, may try it if we get some, I can see how many he is willing to let go and how much when he calls me back, it may be a while before he calls, he said he had to catch up some setting game hens for me.

See You just never know do ya?
I am not saying I don't like desserts. I do, but they are not the main thing for me.
If you put a plate of ribs and a plate of Brownies in front of me.
The ribs would all be gone and maybe a brownie.
I do like pie and cobblers but I will fill up on meat and potatoes first and then maybe try a dessert if I had room.

rack of ribs platter of cobbler it all mixes!!!

Greybear - just a buddy of mine that keeps feeding my addiction!

Don - I can wait...I understand about not having babies my eggs and squab keep freezing...I do have two squeakers from my roller pair

As long as there is whipped cream involved it is desert in my book...besides apples are a great dessert (pie, cobbler, dipped in caremel...)
