Wow 11! I usually get accused of much less!!

Al - actually a javelina is not a pig...it is a collared piccary...trust me I can show you with skulls the differences

My FIL does not live close. They are in the north of Dallas area! His hunting place is south of Abeliene, TX.

Black buck are an Indian antelope...spiral horned...males start out a chocolate colored with a white belly and then turn black with age...the females are a light brown with white...they jump alot.

That is a good idea for grabbing eggs that are out of reach. I just use a long handled cooking spoon, but putting a handle on it would make it handier. I recall that my grandmother had a bent spoon attached to a broom handle for getting eggs that fell below the chicken wire roosts and I considered it a treat when I was about 6 years old to be trusted to bring the egg up using the spoon.

Hi Cuban if you are online, I thought I would try to send a pic of my Blue Breasted Gold Cubalaya Stag, so here goes, Lynn

Of course your right on the money, just went for the short but sweet answer, They are somewhat similar are they not??.

Cosby's in Mustang said he's hoping for chics tomorrow, but pretty sure at least some time this week. Also the unmed starter he was talking about is a 7 lb bag, but he's supposed to get some of the unmed flock raiser 50# this week, thursday he said hopefully.

TSC in mustang still says sometime the next two weeks.

Atwoods in norman got in more chics, but there were quite a few that looked to have pasty butt and definately some diarhea going on..... decided not to take any home..... it was funny even my husband told me to go wash my hands after I picked up a few and he usually could care less about germs

I boiled up an egg for my little pullets today, put it in on a saucer and they were more interested in pecking the gold rim on the saucer than the egg, so I sprinkled some of their food on top of the eggs, when I came back later to check almost all the egg was gone, I guess they liked it they were all laying around sleeping, most of them anyways. I gave them a sprinkle of oatmeal this morning, they really liked that. They are doing great though, was messin with them tapping the side of the tote they are in and they would run to that spot and start pecking it, tooo funny, Lynn

Al - yeah they are similiar but not related.

Those are some neat roos...do they come in a bantam? Are ya'll seeing a trend with me and bantams? I am in so much trouble with my wife! Like real trouble...she really doesn't like the birds much and well I am hatching like mad right now and well she wants to see birds gone! Might have to run to Amarillo or one of those Sat. auctions ya'll have...so I can hide some birds with ya!

Yes they do come in Bantam and they are beautiful bantams, Sam Brush of Texas had some of the best Bantam Cubalayas that i had ever seen a few years ago, back when I showed OEGB, I will stick with my Standards,
Cubin, He is beautiful, do you have a pic of the one you got from Sam? I only have one hen and she is what I would call a wheaten hen, but I am going to mate her to the Blue Gold Stag first and maybe this fall put her in with the Golden Duckwing Stag I have.
