Sherri, I hope you weren't planning on getting Bantams this order, because I don't think there are any left

We called Orschelns at 9:00 this morning just to see when they were expecting a shipment, and they said they just got it! I threw my hair into a ponytail and rushed out the door (I was not going to let them sell out before I got there again!). Every single brooder section had birdies in it

, but they were already selling fast. I grabbed up 2 of the remaining 13 or so Bantams before a fellow PC member's family came in and bought all but two of them and another lady got the two Silkies (

). So in about an hour and a half, they sold out of the Bantams!
I wound up with 2 Ameraucanas, a Gold Wyandotte, and 2 Cochin bantams (buff and partridge)

Hey Guys

Thanks for all the well wishes....Y'all are sweet...

The weather here is gorgeous. Hens are out scratching. Makes me want to go sit on the cement with a coffee and listen to meadowlarks....

I guess I could take an iced tea.... (wouldn't be the same... grumble grumble.) I hope it doesn't get too windy....LOL...Oklahoma has the prettiest skies out of anywhere. I sure am glad to be here... I really miss the gangsters in California with their Tech-9's, their Escalades and their freak parades....NOT!

I was considering bringing my famous chicken enchiladas and cowboy beans to POOPS.... hmmmm....and maybe my famouser homemade salsa...hmmmm....

Chicks are in at the new Crosby Ranch store in Mustang! They just got them today. All pullets and $2.49 each for all except for Ameraucana at $3.49. Choice baby ducks $4.99 and some were top hat! Broze turkey poults $7.99 .... prices not bad at all. They even had a coupon for a free chick with purchase (one per family) but I resisted the temptation. What's wrong with me? I don't have any room in any brooders & chicks due to hatch on Saturday.

I have so far managed to stay away from Atwoods. The one time I went to look, they were sold out except for keets, ducklings, and goslings. I've thought about going back but something always happens to deter me from it. It's fate... especially since I'm hatching my own at home and have some due next Friday!

I know some of us had kind of thrown around the idea of putting together an order from Urch/Turnland poultry. Well, I did find a little more about them here.
