Dandelion - you have perfectly described the beginning of the "gotta hatch chicks" addiction. We probably need a support group for those of us addicted to hatching chicks and those of us addicted to auctions. The problem is, we need a leader who has overcome those addictions to be the leader of the 12 step program.

Ya but do you want to be known as a quitter. Just keep on hatching

On behalf of sellers, I am sorry that prices were not so good at Cement last night. I hope you got a good price for the feeders you took.

I guess there is always next week at Blanchard and Jones to try and sell stuff for a fair price.

As a matter of fact I PO'd the feeders, there was alot of intrest in them but mostly just a bunch of tire kickers when the bidding started. I did end up trading Carla 2 of them for a trio of birds. Things may change a bit going into spring and summer but don't hold your breath. LOL the rule is if you bring stuff to sell they don't bring much, when you go to buy everything is through the roof LOL. I did buy a nice Silkies Rooster for my DW's silkie hens for $ 3.00 so that was good.

AL

sounds like the secret is to have a very good crystal ball, so you can decide when to plan on selling and when to plan on buying. If anyone has a crystal ball like that, may I borrow it to choose my lottery numbers?

Did any of you Central OK Okies feel the earthquake? It was a 3.6 and the epicenter was the I-240/ I-35 interchange. It's the first one I have felt.

My American Govt professor was from Iran. He deeply loved this country's ideals of freedom. Very passionate about it. But we couldn't understand him worth a darn. We sat in the front row and asked him to repeat himself a lot. He was cool with it.

I had no idea TSC was getting chicks this year! I don't think they did at all the last year or two

Sherri, if you don't invite me I am just going to have to invite myself, so you should go ahead and do it

Actually, I am hoping to have a hatch on Thursday, and if it goes well, I probably won't get anymore chicks for a while. But then again, if it doesn't work, I will have to go back to the farm stores

Heaven help us......TJ has regrouped from the Pryor Show,
has slept, and remembers what "else" he saw up there
that's a "gotta have" and has had the Standards Book out
this morning...........................

Charter, I remember you saying that you were a Wyandotte
man. Where might someone even start looking for a pair
of SQ Golden Laced Wyandottes in either Standards or
Bantams???????? If anyone else has a suggestion,
please holler.

Gees, Pa-Pa and I are still pooped, and the KID is ready to
go again.................

Have a good one !

I am east of the epicenter about 15 miles and I didn't feel it but when we were getting for chucrh, our two inside dogs started acting weird and barking and carrying on like they never do.
About five minutes later they came on the tv and reported the earthquake. I talked to several people at church that felt it.
Oh to anser your question, it was little after eight this morning.

Wow, good luck with that. I have never even seen a good quality gold laced. You might try the Wyandotte Breeders of America site I know they have a lot pics posted on there. Good silver laced are equally as hard to come by.
How did the kid's New Hamps do yesterday? Those are some excellent quality birds. They were causing quite the stir. Where did you get such nice NH. Raise lots of chicks off those cause those would sell like crazy.

Thanks, I'll try that website. There were some Gold Laced
Wyandotte's (We think that's what they were) up there.
Looked like the picture in the standards book. TJ says
their entry number was 58 and they were from Bristow.
Maybe we need to call them and be sure we know what
we're talking about.........LOL

Guess you missed my "braggin' " post yesterday.....LOL
Both TJ and Shaun, (SlightlyCracked's boy) placed in the
"Top 5 Junior Exhibitors" !!!!! The first couple of times TJ
showed these New Hampshire Reds, the roo took tops
over the hen. The last couple of outs, the hen has
taken over..... And Kendra made it to the final Junior
Exhibitor row with her Mottled Cochin hen, too.

There were lots of really nice birds up there and our
"Okies in the BYC - kids" did super.

Have a good one !
