pigeons pair up ????? Obviously, they swapped mates
somewhere between Tahlequah and Spiro.......LOL

Thanks for the heads up, Ronnie. Bill said he saw a huge
doe in the median by the airport. Oh, I know that's a
scarry deal. I got mine several years ago just beyond
Peggs. Thankfully, the worst damage to the car was that
soppy wet driver's seat........LOL

Glad you're back. You've been missed. We thought you
might be busy tending puppies....Wish that had been the
case instead of all the problems.

meet. I choose to fully enjoy my age....I can do, or say,
anything I want to. If it don't sit well, everyone can just
flip it off and assume it's senility......LOL

Nope.....I don't cotton to those young "whipper-snappers"
either. If I'm feeling poorly, I hit channel 106 at 1:00 and
see what Doc Adams, Dodge City, says.....................

Am doing my best to have Pa-Pa in shape for POOPS.......
He is doing well on this traction therapy for his back.
We went in last Monday afternoon for his eye exam and a new
prescription for glasses..........ROAD TRIP......We'll make the
trip to Ft. Smith tomorrow morning for catarac surgery,
stay over for his post-op check, and be home Friday afternoon.
Then, will do it all again next week.

I've already told him........We're going to POOPS ! Kick back,
do what I tell you....and you'll be just fine !!!! But...........
am clueless what I'll do with him after I get him all
patched up.... if'n he actually remembers the 60's, too......LOL

Thank you very much for the chickens Carla! I believe I'll have to start a Showgirl project now. We are constantly working on building more pens. That seems to be a theme here at BYC.

The Durant auction was HUGE last night. We finally wimped out after the eggs & chicks since we already had so many birds in the car.

I've got a question. Anyone here have any experience hatching Emu eggs??? You never know what might be at the Durant Auction...

I have this huge bator and it's begging for more eggs. I can't help myself and Mike doesn't know how to say no to me.

Hey Everyone

I am having a totally krappy day. Went out to clean coop and Mrs. Squeaky got off her eggs to scratch a bit and play in the dust pile. Sometime while she was out the thermometer fell off the wall and smashed 2 of her eggs. They were bleeding red blood so they were viable.

Now as a chicken owner, I have tried to toughen up and not get all sentimental about chickens since they die easy or I have to chop off their heads. But I was pretty choked up about these 2 eggs. Mrs. Squeaky was standing on the side of the nest box looking at me like, "When I left there were 7... now there are 5... what did you do?" I feel like a dirtbag... gosh I hope chickens can't count.

On the other side of that coin, hubby and I went out last night and really candled them and made mental notes on what we saw. God is the most awesomest Guy I know. Good heavens... how he can take a chicken.... and then make and egg... and then make a chicken again is beyond my grasp... I just can't get my head around it. To make veins and feathers and a beak etc. I stand in awe of His majesty.

The next person that brings up evolution to me is getting a thump in the nose.
