I am very worried about Monty, not sure exactly where he is from me but about 5 miles north of me is filled with smoke, hubby went to the store and could not see thru the smoke.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the people out of their homes. They are saying 40-50 homes in Choctaw are damaged.

I called Monty and no reply back.

I talked to Monty he is ok for now.............If the wind shifts then it is going to be a long night here. He said he has lost power a few times and is on pins and needles watching the news to see how it is going. Keep us in your thoughts. If that wind shifts there is nothing but fire wood.

Hi all I just checking in. The fire here is about three miles north . We are Ok but when the wind shifts later then it would head our way.
I hope everyone is ok I know there are fires statewide plus tornadoes. Everyone take care.
I am heading back out to hose down the house -------again.

Ugh just got home from work, couldn't help but think of you guys when I heard the radio talking about the fires. Hope everyone is okay out there!

Sonya - I wish I had taken pics of the hail that went through here in february. We got home about three hours later and it looked like yours! So you can imagine how big it was when it came down.

Hey all :

just got in myself, looks like it has been a crazy day for most of us. We are fine out here, winds are brutal very brutal, I think in the morning I will be the proud owner of all the neighbors crap that blows into my pasture.

My prayers are with everyone tonight with the severe weather and fires. Hopefully all our BYC Okies are safe and stay that way

Gerald and I have caught a stomach flu that doesn't seem to go away. Monday/Tuesday was awful, but the last 2 days just aches and very tired with lots of stomach distress including heartburn & indigestion. We even went to work for an hour today, but decided we didn't feel good enough to stay. So, I've been glued to the TV watching the wildfire event all evening.

The good news for us is that my daughter is having her baby Friday!!!!

Her doctor decided to move the date up because she didn't want her to go in labor and didn't want the baby to get any bigger. Her c-section is scheduled for 9:30 am. I had to call & tell her that we might not show up at the hospital because of this virus. I sure don't want to share the virus with anyone.

Gerald told me his Steel Soldiers group (military vehicles) is planning a get-together on April 25th. He hasn't said yet, but I know he's going to be torn between attending POOPS with me and playing with big green army trucks.

Everyone take care & stay safe!

Hi all, hope all is well, spent three hours doing chores and putting the roof back on my big chicken pen and one sow pen, my one sow had five babies (pics follow) they are all doing well,I HATE WIND !!!!!! I have been chasing feed sacks all evening, tilled some of my garden to keep the grass down and I think half the dirt is in Kansas now!!! Monty we are thinkin about you, stay safe, hope the winds die down and some rain would be nice, Hi BigOkie, wish I could go with ya, that is some pretty country up that way, did ya find any henns for those Brahma Roos??? Gerald had already mentioned that he wanted to take it there before he heard of the steel soldiers get-together. You surely wouldn't want to see a dozen or so noisy, smokey old army trucks rolling thru the campground. Maybe I'll let Gerald bring his, but I don't think our chickens would enjoy riding in it.

Wow those are beautiful piggies! Love the blk/white one. I used to raise some like that when I was younger back in Okla. Sure miss those days.

Swa a beautiful breed at the auction the other day. They called them Golden Comet bantams! They looked like a heavy breed red pile old english! The roo had a beautiful dark red hackle,He was goregous. Has anyone seen or heard of them.

Sooner- I asked a few days ago if anyone needed a Frizzle, SLW, EE and a white leghorn Roo that I will want to place. I don't need too many 1 or 2 will do. I am sure that I will have a Polish or 2 or 3 to get rid of also.
