You didn't miss out on dorkings and silkies!

What is a dorking and is it legal to do in public? What happened to all those silkies you brought okcarla? Took them to the auction? How many folks took chicks anyways? Oops we weren't supposed to mention that...my bad

Hey Wannab and Sidni82 welcome to the group. I'm one of the "displaced" Okies. I am now residing in Tennessee. (UGH!)
Sidni you are from my old haunts. I used to be a police officer in Westville. Grew up in Watts. Sure miss that area and all the great people.
Sounds like you all had a great time at Poops. Nothing better than chicken friends!

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize a couple of great guy's, Big John from the house of slightly cracked and Mike from the house of Henny's. They two fine gentleman stepped up gladly when I asked for a hand during crunch time in the BBQ pit's, they accepted the challenge and excelled. I put John on the wings and he is now known as the wingman LOL, I had Mike on the sausages and he is now known as the Sausage king. I had originally planned for folks to be licking their fingers by 12 noon and I think we rang the bell at 12:15. Needless to say without these clutch hitters I would have been pelted with rotten mators.

To Mike & Big John you young grasshoppers are welcome in my BBQ Do-Jo anytime, my hat's off to you both. Wax on Wax off.

One more thing, Mike good job on keeping those Veggie burgers from jumping off the grill, they did not want to be anywhere close to all that meat, u da man.

Hi everyone. I wanted to tell all who attended POOPS, that I have really enjoyed reading all the posts. I really like looking at all the pictures that were taken. I can tell this was something special, and you should all be congratulated.

Slightly Cracked!! So glad you're here - we missed you! (in case you couldn't tell).

Wannabe - I was reading about your wife being disturbed by chickens - has she ever been around a silkie? It sounds like they might actually be ugly two-legged kittens with feathers - she might warm up to those.

Sydni - welcome - you should drift on west and become an honorary Okie!

lowdollar484 - it will be great if you can come next time - there are so many who couldn't make it last weekend and maybe the next POOPS will be twice as big!

Bricker - thanks for the nice comments. As you can tell, we got the POOPS Fever...a messy illness to be sure!

dachsunds and ke_ben - you just need to come home!

Al, on the way to work today, Gerald all of a sudden said "You know who Al reminds me of? and I said "Who?" and he said "Al looks like Sgt. Klinger on the show Mash". So, my question is this ... are you???

I just had to do a google search for a picture to show everyone

Al, you're much better looking than that! You're definitely more masculine!

Hey chicken friends I need some chicken wisdom. LOL I have all these eggs in the bators...all 5 of them... and I am trying to figure out how to tell the chicks apart as they hatch. If they hatch in the night I won't have a clue what kind they are.

I bought some ties in different colors to maybe place on their legs after they hatch but I'm not sure if that is a good idea. I am so new at this that I can't tell very many chicks from the others. A suggestion was given to me to place a tube around the eggs made out of the wire that is like what is in the bottom of a styrophome bator to keep the chick in. Sounds a little strange but I'm open to any advice you all have.

Please help me!!!
