Wow...the sun is actually peeking out here in Tahlequah
today !!! I'm sure glad....Pa-Pa and a buddy of his took
a batch of laying type chicks to a flea market just north
of here this morning. DJ took a batch of mixed bantams,
and Pa-Pa took 91 laying type chicks and sold all of them.
The co-op, Tractor Supply, etc., have quit ordering chicks,
so may be able to get rid of the rest of them this weekend.

We're still hatching show type chicks from the kid's birds
and we're running slap out of room. I've got a feeling we'll
be taking a bunch of birds "camping" with us, too, come
POOPS in October.....LOL

Y'all quit talking about fishing !!!! The kids have THREE more
weeks of school.......Then, Na'Na is outta here !!!!!

Have a good one !

Wow! Very nice color! Some of my eggs are nice and dark like that, but most are lighter. I've got some unrelated Welsummers I bought at the Cement auction & the seller said they are from show quality stock. They should begin laying soon & hopefully they are all good & dark too.

I though I saw a glimmer of the sun here in Westville. But I think that it might have been my imagination.

I never thought of that as an option

- I put them in the live trap for the possums and skunks.

I'm too curious to see exactly what was in the egg. I have to crack it and see. (Although I have been seen running out of the kitchen gagging... I return once I get a washcloth to put over my nose and regain my composure.)

My cats and dogs enjoy the "leftovers."

Syndi82, do you live in Westville cause thats Oklahoma and your location says Arkansas

I think it was your imagination, wishful thinking perhaps? I hear it thundering now, I just moved the pooping puppies outside and it starts thundering. They need a bath anyway. At least a lady I know is coming to buy one of my males this afternoon. My friend will get his this weekend. All but one puppy is spoking for, a black and tan female that some Teacher should have following him around feeding chickens. Happens to be the cutest one to

I live maybe 2 miles from westville. I am literally on the line but I have an arkansas address and I technically live in Arkansas. But I am a Westvillian at heart! And I go to college at tahlequah and Have previously lived there so it is a home to me too.

What kind of chickens do you raise? My mom lives in watts so you could probly throw a rock and hit her! My older brother lives around peevine i belive. Its a nice shower coming down right now, not to hard not to light.
