Are you saying you lost weight on the Byetta? Is that a short acting insulin? I am on the Levemir and it is long acting so I only do one shot a day. Oh how I hope I have the weight loss side effect.

actually it is for type 2 diabetes, here is a link to info on it-
http://www.diabetesmonitor.com/m82.htm
it helps the body to make insulin- comes from the Gila Monster- somehow they figured out its benefits in the spit...

Yes, I think so! But, she looks like she's bigger than he is. I'm not quite sure how old he is, but he's crowing a lot. I'll bring him to you to the Jones auction.

We'll probably be bringing some turken hatching eggs too. There's a chance now that the recently laid eggs could be frizzle turken since we added the blue & red frizzle roo 2 weeks ago. I need to get a good picture of him, but the turken pen is an awful muddy mess still.

The sunshine was wonderful today. Moved some rooster pens.
Set a broody tonight with my Andalusian eggs. Have a new broody this is her first night on the nest . I would like to get her some eggs and set her in a few days if she stays set.
Anyone have Buff Orpington eggs? Or some pretty blue eggs?

Hey Okies, Missouri checking in here because all the Missouri folks go to bed at 7, LOL.

Now for the naked necks you can keep them Ronnie. I would hate to have to crochet scarves for them this winter.

You don't have cold problems with them. They can pull that neck tight against their bodies and they are the only breed that can regulate blood flow at will to cold areas.

The research is amazing on the breed and there is a lot of it. If you do a search type in Naked Neck Chickens and have your filters set to moderate at least or what comes up will blow your eyeballs right out.

Carla I have way too many projects as it is, I think every bird I have is part of a breeding project! And we have about 200 due to hatch soon.
