I am glad it went well. My daughter has been a type 1 diabetic since she was 14.(She is 20 now.) At least that is when we found out.
She gave her own shots and did everything herself and managed it fine.
She has had a pump for about four years now. That makes it easier although sometimes malfunctions can cause problems.

Monty,

I am bumfoozled. Okay, here is my blue something (have no idea what color you would call him) Ameracuana EE rooster, Darth Vader...No I have never even seen a Star Wars movie.

Now if I crossed him with LuLu and LaLa, would I still get blues? And will the lacing be passed on or even improved or No?

Oh and excuse the muddy rooster tail. He has been surfing the mud waves in their pen. I took those yesterday when we had some brief sun.

Dizzy, I am sorry but I have no idea. I would assume that since both the roo and hens have the blue gene then the color will carry on.
However I can't say to what degree.
I am like henny. The genetics stuff gives me a headache but I love to read about it.
Hopefully someone else in our group can shed some light.

I have a Andalusian/Buff Orpington cross and everytime she molts she changes color. Te blue has been various shades.

LOL, I know, right. We named him pretty boy floydd at first, but the hens ran for their lives from him at first. I told my husband, "He looks evil so I am going to name him Darth Vader. It stuck, perfect name for him. Now I am going to get a wheaten roos and name him Hans Solo. Isn't his real name Luke skywalker or something? Again, I never even watched the movie.
