Have a great birthday!

Hey, I'm the one that asked all the OKIEs west of us to set
fans out on their porches and turn them to the South and set
them on HIGH.....or aim them North.....I don't care...........LOL
Yup, we need a break.............. And, the heck of that, we'll all
be lookin' for rain come August. If this wasn't "Oklahoma".......
I'd be movin'.............

Have a good (dry) one !

Plus, I gave you a pretty wheaten ameraucana who lays you pretty blue eggs.

She, btw, came from eggs out of Pips&Peeps stock.

Never heard of such a thing!

You are down because you are still alive??

Cheer up now! It is far better to get old than the alternative!

Gerald and I are just now heading out of Duncan after picking up a GQF hatcher that Grace told us about. It was used for hatching ostriches, but hopefully it works alright. There's a few modifications on it ... only 3 hatching trays instead of 5 and some sort of metal insulation on the back of the unit. The guy said his brother used it quite a bit for 3 years, but the one he had & sold to Grace's dad was only used 1 year. I have my fingers crossed that this one works good.

It sure is a beautiful day ... sunshine, green grass, absolutely beautiful Spring day in Oklahoma!!!!

I just got in with the wife and kiddo from Muskogee. Picked up that 1202 and got it fired up with a hydrometer in it. I dont know crud about this thing. Gotta download a user manual from gqf. I got an email from Fedx they are delivering my power supply for my 2nd incubator on the 13th. That will be day 19 on teh 7 eggs i got shipped in earlier. Hopefuly they wait that long lol. I hope this 1202 works graet 100$ is a bargain even needing trays. Anyone familar with the controls. Im assuming the auto turner switch is up for manual turn and middle is off and down is auto turn? Also what is the ideal temp for it, 99.5? It says the 2nd wafer is a safety preset to 102f?

Well storms are almost here. I guess we will see how good of a job we did with the coops. My dh works for a rock crusher, so yesterday we shoveled about a foot of mud and sludge out of the coop and laid a super thick layer of 3/8 chip rock as a base. Then we covered the rock with a layer of hay. The coops are all nice and dry, but not before all that muddy mess ruined a bunch of my eggs. I had to throw them out cause they were so nasty, I couldn't even get them clean. I guess tonight's storms will be a test for sure.

I am still praying for it to dissipate and extra prayer for no power outages.

Cheryl
