PROCESSING

FYI, for those of you who would like your turkeys or chickens processed but don't want to do it yourselves, A guy from Jay, Oklahoma posted a notice on Craigslist on May 16th:

http://tulsa.craigslist.org/grd/1173619859.html

I emailed him and got prices, $2.25 per chicken, plucked and cleaned. You supply the ice for chilling and transport. He has bags for .35 each or you can supply your own.

OH & I'm not sure where else to post this????

Luvs- benadryl every 6 hours 50mg do not excede 200mg in 24hrs will help but, I think antibiotics would be good even if it was a huge dose in a shot. Necrosis sets in when that venom starts killing the skin and a secondary infection can occur.

Someone asked if I worked in the ER yet, NO. I have only worked Neuro Trauma/Ortho surgery that is the area I have worked for 6 months. It is all MVC, gun shots, falls, joint replacements, cranium surgery, etc...

Wo9w Big Okie.those are really cute chicks. There just isn't anything cuter I don't think. The black and white looks like an anaconna(spelling?)

Beautiful day here in Tn. I can't beleive I have been waitiong for days like this and then when they happen I just don't have the energy to go out and work on stuff. Stuip heart.

Luvs hope hubby is okay. thats something you really don't want to mess around with. Rotting flesh wounds get really messy. He must have had some relly bad experineces with docs in the past. They are really a lttle smarter than they used to be! (well at least some of them!).

Sold the last two dachsund pups yesterday. Going to have to find me a new male before I can raise some more. I was trying to thinl of what the old timers used to help get the swellinf down in the breast after weaning. Was it camphophneque?

Tina, I read Lynn was still with us. He needs to get something to at least fight the infections. I had an uncle that lost his leg after getting snake bit. He almost died from it.
Let me know if I can help.
I am not trying to scare you, well yes I am but he does need to see a doc.

I am running around crazy again today, I bought some chickens and just got back with them and have been trying to find places for them.
I also latched on to some chicken housing and cages and I have to haul those today.
I'll check with you later.

Monty

Good morning Okes... how's life for all? Luvs sounds like ya had a rough night...Lynn's in my prayers. If Mikey got bit by a snake....I would have to carry him to ER because he would be passed out in fear...

Well I survived the night with some good pain pills and muscle relaxers. I am stiff and sore and wrists are a little swollen and elbow is bruised, but I'm good to go....then this morning I went out and sat on my chair in the chicken run to enjoy the weather and the chair collapsed.... (not a word from you folks well trained in smart assery... and you KNOW who you are...) So I am going to sit and do nothing and pray my accident proneness is short lived.....
