My equipment's not qualified for turkey eggs...

Don't start hatching muesky! There is no return for those who step over that dark line!

It is true that hatching is as addictive as poultry auctions. You can't attend just one auction and you can't be happy owning just one incubator.

Lynn is talking thru me............

I went in with 2 extra holes in my body and came out with 50 more.

I now have a new theory, kill them and go check on them the next day to make sure they are still dead. Then pick them up with the shovel. or the tractor.

We have 2 dead now making sure they are still dead.

WOW! Sounds like Lynn has learned "not to run with scissors" and not to "play with snakes." How is Lynn's hand doing? Is it still giving him pain?

Only when he bumps it.

He did know better, he grew up handling snakes.

Went to Noble auction last night, seen Muesky.
I bought 2 doz buff orps. A tv entertainment center a computer desk, both for my fabric and sewing. A computer chair a boys bike and a lil tikes bb ball hoop. walked out spending 21 bucks.

Sounds like the Noble auction is a buyer's delight. Was it mostly household items or was there very much poultry and/or rabbits?
Someone is hatching out a bunch of buff orphingtons - there were probably over a hundred BO chicks at Blanchard.

It was a bunch of "junk" a band saw went for 30 bucks, a craftsman trailor for a lawn tractor went for 30 bucks. It was for sure a buyers auction. There were 2 roosters, RIR, 2 hens and 30 chicks there.

Snakes galore! There's a rat snake filtching eggs from my layer pen. He surprised me one night. All I could do was watch him climb up into the rafters and try to "hide" from me.

I didn't have anything with me to catch him.

Unfortunately, I've not see him since.

Yea the 1st rat snake we found was up on top of the nest boxes. Then it went in behind the nest boxes were we could not get to it. had to wait on it to come out. Well I knew there had to be or been a snake in there. usually get around 13 or so eggs a day and the night before I wasnt able to get the eggs so that next morning there was only 1 egg in there, knew there had to be one around. The second one found it that night when I was putting up birds. Hollered out the front door for Lynn to come and get him. If he would have been on the ground I had the shovel handy to give him a whack but he wasnt.

When i go into the coop now it is a complete inspection for them boogers 1st.

Remember the test hatch in the old tub brower. Well I gotta say, It is possibly the best hatch ever, except this last one in the sportsman. The sportsman 100 percent hatch on my BYS, 72 percent hatch on the auction cochins 70 percent hatch on the BA's, now for the brower, still air lower humidity than usual and the eggs were washed before setting, got 100 percent hatch. Oh an I only turned the eggs once a day.
