suprisingly he doesn't, he still bleeps when I get out of the car or when I am out working with my chickens, he wants attention all the time. I have never seen a goat that wants so much loving. I just hope we are in the clear once the swelling goes down. I would hate to loose him considering Maddie plans to show him.

That is what I have learned through this expeirance. Now that I have him on the proper food, that will make a big difference. I won't be adding anything else for a couple of weeks, I don't want to mess with his system any more than slowly changing his food over and adding the minerals. I will check on the DE for the worming, that is next on the list. I will most likely take in a fecal sample rather than just doing it. I hear this is best from one of the sites I am learning from.

Mine have just started slowing down in the last 2 weeks. I got 2 eggs from 14 hens today. Granted some are older hens that don't lay daily anyways. Trying to remember how old the others are that will be the replacements.......should of done it last spring.

All of the chickens are doing good with the exception of two older hens that seem to be hanging out mostly in the coop. I think one is in molt? I plan to check her tomorrow to see if there is anything else I am not seeing.

Yes, I live in Lexington but I haven't been to the auction here in ages. And now for some bad news; sorry folks, but I won't be able to make it to lunch Friday. Something has come up and I just can't get away. Maybe next time.

Sooner-the good thing about the DE is you can just mix it right into the feed at about 1:50 and never have to change it up.

Probably not for a week or 2. I wished that I could say for sure but DE just wasn't around back when I did this stuff more, but the more I learn about it the more stuff I use it for. I'm just don't specifically know for this problem.

I think I am good on this problem anyways. I have read that some folks use DE for worming, I am still doing some reserch. One of the more experianced guys is the one that recomends taking a fecal sample because certain worms can only be killed out with a certain type wormer.
