Made it through the midevil torture chamber.....It was not as bad as I thought it would be after being off due to the virus. I got home and my water is shut off. This chaps my a$$... I can never get a hold of anyone at the water company, even at the emergency number. My neighbor has a zillion foster kids!! She is really having a fit! Jeez... I need a shower...wish I had a stock tank!

Hello all,

Well my dads biopsy surgery went well. We still have to wait a few days for the results.Keep him in your prayers.
I spent the day in Tulsa. He was scheduled for 11:30 but they didn't take him to surgery until five. The doc got tied up in another surgery that took much longer than anticipated.

City, I honked when I passed by. Of course I don't know how far you live from I-44. I would have stopped by but I didn't want to get shot or attacked by a JRT.

I am back on the road tomorrow to attend a funeral in Henryetta.

A Weird chicken thing happened this morning. I was feeding and watering all the chickens and I had wet down the dust in some of the pens. Anyway in my pen of Speckled Sussex, (Beth cover your eyes) my rooster was scratching around in the water and acting like top dog for his hens and I turned around and was putting water in another pen across from that one.
I couldn't have been turned around more than 30 seconds, more like 15 seconds. When I turned back around, the Sussex rooster was dead as a door nail. No sound, no movement just smooth out dead.
It wasn't hot, it was about nine this morning. Plenty of water and shade and he was only a little over a year old.
I am glad Beth didn't take the Sussex, I would have felt bad if he had keeled over for her.

Buckguy - That's a shame. I read your post to Bill and he says
"heart", just like people. I remember several years ago we had
some problems with Ringneck Pheasants. They grow soooo
fast and after losing several, Bill did a couple of autopsys.
Their hearts weren't keeping up and their aorta was blowing
up off the top of their hearts.

Quenston - That sounds super !!! Keep up the good work.

Speaking of chickens.......... OK, any of you that went to the
NPIP class.......Have you gotten your certificates in the mail?
On the order form for the supplies, it asks for your certificate
number, etc. We haven't gotten a thing. If y'all have, let
me know so he can call down there.

Teach - Will be thinking about you tomorrow.

Have a good one !

Ok. I've been all over the internet. Does anyone know where I can get a turner motor for my incubator? Needs to be heavy duty, has to be able to hold 5 large trays. Each tray will hold about 84 eggs without cramming.

Haven't received anything from the Department of Ag yet

We had the joy of watching the temperature drop about 20 degrees in as many minutes when the rain came through. Don't know how much rain we got but I am delighted with the 73 degree temperature.

you might send a PM to Chicklooker since he repairs Sportsman incubators. Of course, Al or Don or someone else might also have an answer

If any of ya'll are wanting to go commercial, here is the cedar lined humidaire incubator and hatcher you need for $800 located in Durant

commercial humidaire incubator model 200 and a hatcher model number 21H and 2 humidifiers. The in side of the incubator and hatcher are all cedar wood. These are barely used. But we have stopped hatching and they are just gathering dust. Everything still works like new. This is not a quarter of what this cost new. The incubator has 8 drawers (4 on each side) and the hatcher has 2 drawers. The 2 top pics are the inside of the incubator. The bottom left pic is the hatcher and the last pic is the 2 humidifers. $800.00

Hows everyone doing, staying cool I hope. I opened the mail box to find a bill from the Eletric Company, my heart rate went through the roof lol. Wasnt bad this time, only 146$ and sense we run the ac 24/7 I was suprised. July and August are usualy my two biggest bills though. Anyone notice the significant increase from last years and this years charges (it shows both on my statements). Quite a difrence. We did however have 13 out of 15 chicks hatch under our two broody bantams who decided to share a nest. We put 6 in the brooder for safety and decided to leave 7 with those crabby girls. I got bit all to heck fishing them out of the nest.

Buckguy - Sounds like you've got your hands extra full this
week. Will be keeping your Dad in our prayers. And, we'll
be thinking about you through your journey to Henryetta, too.
Wishing you bunches of less worrisome, and happier days
ahead.

Al, Luvs, SlightlyCracked, and lots more of us, where is
everybody? If all of you got to go to the lake.........I don't
wanta hear it !!!!!!!! LOL

Have a good one !
