Teach just left our house a few minutes ago with 3 pet carriers full of chicks. He's on his way to Weatherford to take the test. We enjoyed the visit. I just hope he doesn't have nightmares from the house he had to walk into to see the brooders full of chicks. I have to admit, Gerald and I haven't cleaned house in a very long time now. No time to clean with the zillion birds and dogs and cats and garden and working full time with mandatory overtime.

Well, we have to go feed & water everyone then get ready for work.

today he is showing movement in his toes, is persistently preening, drinking and eating if i put it within reach- still not standing, but i am optimistic- he is getting his vitamins, E, yogurt and crumbles...i think he's on his way back- will get more pictures from today posted soon- boy is he/she gonna be spoiled!!

Long time no post. Stupid satelite internet, you pay a small fortune to get crappy service and treated like an idiot. Humm maybe they have a point...

Finally caught up on the posts, it seems like everyone is having a lot of ups and downs in life right now and my prayers and positive energy go out to all of you. Sounds like everyone is dealing with the heat. My hat goes off to all of you who are out there working in this heat. All I want to do is sleep.
I have peafowl eggs in the bator that should be hatching this weekend. At least 4 of them are for sure developing, the other two I am not sure. Need some good hatching mojo sent my way.

This is my last hatch for the summer. Too hot and the chick pen and brooders are getting crowded.
Sitting here waiting for my new laptop to be delivered.

My old one is just really slow. If any of you are in the market for new computers let me know. I am really good at getting good deals on computers on ebay. Bought my last five computers there and have always been happy.
Hope to make the Blanchard auction on the 11th. We have been busy in the evenings and I have not had time to get to an auction. The withdrawls are killing me. I am looking for peafowl chicks, been dreaming of white peacocks. Man I think I am loosing my mind.

Well need to either get motivated to get stuff done or go take a nap. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Evening all. Hope its been a good day for everyone. We had some needed(did I say that!) rain last night.

It was in the low 80's today. Wouldn't you know it I was down today so didn't get to get out and enjoy it much.

Did get chores done and weeded one flower bed. The clucks love when I pile all the weeds up in their pen!

Had a belgian quail hen hatch out ,10 little babies,two b-quail,some cochins and some silkies. My silkie flock is a re roo,white hen two partridge hens and a black hen. I get some of the cutest babies. You never know whats goning to pop out!

Well I'll keep close watch for Teach to let us know how it went, Isn't it funny how we all become family and worry and fret about each other even tho lots of us have never met! I guess its the power of the chickens! Lol.

him.....and P&B reminded me that "he" would be playing with the
mouse and forget the test.........LOL And, she's right ! That's
why he is sooooo special as a dedicated teacher and we need
more like him.

Ke_Ben, Good to to meet you, I am looking for a 110Vac motor, preferably with timer. Drive is planned as direct (will require less space) I am modifying a turn of the century incubator with trays that are 18x32. they will be center pivot trays. Water / humidity control is mounted seperate already in place as of now.
I am looking for cost effective (not neccesarily cheap). Do you know where i can get one? Tell me you have a spare...lol

City - the snake thing went like this....ring ring...Howdy..wanna 4 ft bull snake...yup...okay I will bring it by after work...knock knock...stupid snake got loose...you are the stupid one...well it tried to bite me...stupid that means you have it caught! Dang can i tell a story or what!

Test didn't go well.

13 questions they pull from...they hit the four that I had the most issues with...I am horrible with straight memory type questions...I had to list six stages and describe how I would use them...yup pulled a blank on one stage

...another question i still am not sure of the answer

Fairly sure I got the other two correct but know they won't like the shortness of my answers

Don't let Carla fool yall...she is just addicted to birds! I would so love to have her turkeys! And those cool birds with the horns! I am thinking I might need to got visiting again!!!
