There wasn't any tornado just 80 mph winds and large hail.
THe Midwest City high school roof blew off as well as the roofs on other buildings plus softball sized hail there. I am about eight miles east and all we got was a little shower and a nice lightening show.
We did lose power for a little while and I couldn't get the puter going for awhile.

I am spending some time today searching and picking up things that got blown around in the storm, we just got hellasious winds and lightning but no rain. I hate it when all I want is a little rain shower every now and then, but Nooooooo in Oklahoma you have to call out the national guard just to prepare for a sprinkle. Sheesh every single small weather event means yes you will have damage, wind damage, drought damage, storm damage, ice damage, heat damage, Tornado damage, go out and say hello to the nieghbors damage. can you tell just a little that I am sick of this, LOL somebody wake me up and tell me it was just a nightmare, instead of a dream where I wake up and then the nightmare begins.

Maybe the DD's birthday party weekend will cheer me up, if we don't get anymore weather c**p tonight and they all get scared, like I need that too.

Ronnie - I'm from Chickasha, home of the Fightin Chicks! *haha* We're bout an hour south and a little west of Oklahoma City. But I will be moving northwards as soon as I can!

My little sister and her friends were in OKC yesterday evening, and they called freaking out because they heard tornado on the radio. But I'm sure they were saying there is NOT a tornado at this time...

Just lost my little silkie, Spike- he was such a fighter, but the paralysis combined with a respiratory infection was just too much for him- dang! Anyone near muskogee have any silkies available? poor little puddin is lost without Spike...

Glad you guys are getting a calm after the storm with nicer weather, enjoy. We are supposed to top out at 117 but I'm hoping not because I've got to go back out in it. Hope that the damage wasn't too bad for anyone.

Tina-I think Claire is a keeper even if she is a little on the light side.

Don't throw her back though (small fish) cause I 'll take her off your hands.

Henny, OKRobin, Buster? and any of you other transplants from CA please don't this personally but I have to share this after you guys conversations lately. (Mind you, I have several really good friends still in and from California.) Around my house we call it the granola state...what isn't fruits and nuts...is flakes!

Robin I am really sorry to hear about spike.

I live east of Norman but if you are going to be at one of the auctions sometime soon or if you do not mind the drive I am going to pick up some silkies this weekend and would be willing to let one or so go. I know it really sucks to loose one you worked so hard to save.
Let me know if you are interested in the silkie.
