Well bigokie solved my poultry shortage problem. Picked up some very nice Americaunas from him today and I know who to call when I make room for more. Thanks Chuck.

I am going to attempt to talk the wife into maybe packing up and checking this out after the football game.

Monty we have always used the Game Bird Flight Conditioner plus a few secret ingredients, Alfalfa pellets, Red Cell, for our show stock.

We usually don't feed grains at all, they will pick out their favorite things and won't get good nutrition.

Good morning all, hey Monty when I showed chickens I was showing OEGB and I mixed my own feed like a lot of the cockers did and I used almost all grain, watch getting too much protein also, but I have to agree with Les as they do pick out what they like best, the pellets or crumbles would be the best I think, if you do feed any grain make sure they have plenty of grit and if you can get the pigeon grit with minerals that is better (they sell it in Edmond at the feed store west of main street, can't think of the name), also we used a little trick to help cage train ours and it gives them a little nutrition and a nice shine to the feathers, get some of the moist dog food from Walmart, the kind that comes in the little box and looks like red worms, don't get the kind with the cheese in it if you can help it, always heard that it made the feathers soft, not sure but if we had to get that we picked out the red ones and fed the yellow ones to the cats, anyways you hand feed a small handful each time you visit them, they tame down real nice and when you put them in show pens they are always showing off and looking for a hand out, you can train them to stand up tall and alert by feeding them up high at eye level to the bird, they present themselves to the judge better this way. I have been trying to find it again since it was first posted, but I can't pull it back up, I think somebody removed it due to Ideals support of our site and any bad publicity. I am still trying to find it and will post it if I do.
