I have been watching Walter Cronkite on the Discovery channel. It is like a walk back in history - of course I was very young when many of the things he is talking about occurred..... although I do recall exactly where I was and what I was doing when President Kennedy was assasinated.

The 4th of july was a terrible auction date, I wondered why they even had it, Thats why this month should be so much better, more birds more people hope to see you there. You will notice the BYC group by all of the loud laughter and frenzied buying.

I'm ready to get back in the chicken business! A friend of mine has donated some wood and wants to build me new pens, but I haven't even got any birds yet!

Morning all! My first day of vacation! Yep lots of plans and fun times ahead but first I have to go to work. Yeah you read that right, I have to go in to work! Seems the guys get cranky when they don't get paid. They didn't make it in early enough on Friday for me to get it done. Oh well I will only be there a couple of hours. It is really nice outside this morning. I was out early. My bantam hen was dead so Maddie came & got me. Looks like a snake tried to eat her. She was sitting on eggs. Now Romeo will be lonely.
