Okies in the BYC The Original

Yea I dont envy any one who is working outside today... I hate summer, Fall is my favorite season but hey each season has a purpose for us all. I have the ducks and goslings outside in another pen I put together this morning... which reminds me to say that I will never buy another product from WARE Manufacturing again(Rabitat/chicken hutch), I dont care if they have been around since the 80's their products are expensively(price) CHEAPLY MADE... RRRR sorry guys had to vent.

Buster I am going to have to concur with your statement, I sure do hope that you can make it to poops but if you cant I am going to make a few videos and I am sure that there will be plenty of pictures!!!

Ok, I don't get on here for a few weeks and come back to see that we are being threatened with shutting down our thread. What did ya'll do to upset the moderators? I have always thought of us as a fun loving group. Very supportive with just enough honesty to keep everyone on their toes. I guess we Okies are being misunderstood. Play nice guys, I need somewhere to vent on occassion.......

I am trying to atch eggs and the eggs and I or the incubator and I are fighting, I haven't decided which! The last hatch was about 34 eggs and only 2 of them started to develope, the rest didnt even look fertile. Made me sad!

I would love to go to POOPS. Didnt go last year cause I wasnt even on BYC. But dont know if I will have the time this year. Might try to at least stop by so I can meet everyone.

I am new here not even a week and I am confused now as to what I can and cannot say? I know I made a comment in reference to another states rules and regs to a get together of some sort, and although i agree it kinda sucks with all the rules that the state had on people I in no way felt that those in attendance were bad people... I dont know them nor they me. I know who I am and to many rules and regulations for things that could be so much fun for families and those interested in the chicken raising business does well kinda stink and if someone is new in the chicken raising like me it would blow my brain trying to make sure I was following everything... Like already I asked a fellow member here who also happens to be in my area to know if I needed a building permit for our coops because I was confused on my own OK / County laws and regulations in regards to such especially since I dont live in town but in the country side. Al was kind enough to let me know that I didnt need one, so I thanked him for his help..

I in no way want to ruffle anyones feathers, I am new I am always a seeker of learning many things and I have found this site to be a valuable wealth of information, first with brooder ideas to coop designs(LOVE EVERYONES PICTURES) to my issue I am having this morning when I woke to see a few of my baby chicks with crusty bums... where is the first place I go to see if I can get some help..... but ta daaaa BYC as I found others postings on what I was looking for and already finding the responses of using things I already have like Yogurt ect ect was a prayer answered.

So with this being said I apologize deeply if I have been over zealous which caused or aided in any trouble on the BYC or the OK thread that is not my intention nor do I mean to deliberatley... I apologize again..

PS: Ok I was reading the rules and regs and was curious to know because I have my website on my profile if BYC has a special link to use if someone wants to link the BYC on to their blog ect ect?​

It is nice to meet you. And I doubt very much that you would have gotten this thread in trouble. I personally could not see how any of us on here could have done that. We are a very laid back easy going group. every time I have been on here I have either learned something or just brightened my day by reading all the harmless banter. Its fun to get on here and everybody talk to you like you are at a family reunion: Helpful, insightful, and honest enough to tell you if you are messing up. Its nice and i would not trade the way we talk in here. That being said we have upset someone and I can garauntee that we never try to offend or upset anyone.

Does BYC have their own Special Link to us Code if someone wanted to place the BYC Website Link to their Blog. Kinda like you see here on the advertisements... I would like to link the BYC on my personal blog for others but wanted to check first to know if they had already a BYC Link Back Code with its own graphic

Gees, have been reading through all this "Moderator" and
"Edited by" stuff this morning. I "think" I have figured out
what they're talking about, but still not sure. We have had
tons of folks from other states post here with questions, news,
or just chat and all have been welcomed and helped to the
best of our ability. And, I know lots of us have posted on
their forums as well. We have several "Okies on the BYC"
members that live in other states, too. So, am hoping this
is over and we can get back to our normal caring, sharing,
planning, etc., ...... all that stuff that Okies are known to be
the very best at.

I, myself, had occasion to post a few days ago about some of
Oklahoma's rules/regulations, regarding a particular breed of
birds. Personally, I find some of our regulations overdoing it
a bit, too. But, felt that I should share what I know about it,
and assumed that it was OK for us to cuss/discuss it on our
forum.

That said, I can only hope it's OK to ask, are our PMs
moderated, too ???
