Okies in the BYC The Original

I leased my horse to a person. PM me for his name if you would truly like to help me. He and the horse are both in Tahlequah, OK, but has been moved from the property my horse was originally at. It stated IN the contract that he was not to take my horse off of the property without contacting me and my approval. He did not contact me, changed phone numbers and took off with my horse.

I've contacted the sheriff's office in that area, and because it was a contractual situation, I get to go through the joys of going through the court system.

If anyone lives in Tahlequah, OK and sees my horse, PLEASE let me know!
When I last saw him, he was developing birdcatcher's spots on his body, he may have many more of them now, but the identifying marks are:

4 white stockings, 1 large blaze, PALOMINO. Approximately 15.3 hands. 4 years old.
Here are some photos taken last year around this time:

Know any bail-bondsmen? They hire guys called skip-tracers that can find anybody. May cost a little bit but looking at that horse it would be worth it.

Marybeth I also have albums hidden inside of albums! well one so far.

Did you ever figure out that Betsy has Silkies and Showgirls? Carla bought some of her parent stock at the Shawnee show I think two years ago.

Keep your eyes peeled on your local Craigs List, You never know might try t sell him... What a beauty!

( Actually you can do up a post on your local Craigs List under the Farm and Garden to get the word out to be on the look out for him. Just like you did here..)

There has been cases of cattle rustling going on, but would not surprize me if folks turned to stealing horses for a profit as well.

Not saying this is the persons intention but you can never be too careful if especially what you are saying he didnt tell you that he moved the horse and changed phone numbers

Thanks for mentioning that. Jarred my brain loose a little.

Are you a member of the Cattleman's Association? They have their own detective unit for stolen livestock. Maybe the horse associations do to?

rodriguez - That makes me want to cry! I am so sorry that happened to you, and your horse. A girl in my area had a horse stolen from her house. The put it in paper and over the local radio station. A few days later the horse was running around outside their house. They think whoever stole it got scared when they saw the publicity.

Rodriquez - not saying that Al is shady or anything but he knows people

...just a thought...

Goodmorning you chatty owls! My mommy used to tell me that if you hoot with the owls you couldn't soar with the eagles...time for me to soar with the eagles! I never did agree with that saying...figured owls were revered for intelligence and stealth and such...didn't bring that up to my mommy though

I ain't that dumb!!!

Yall have a great day!

I'm Sorry about your horse! I want to ask a million question! Was you horse trained for a certain sport? The court system will take forever and that is only if you can find him to be served. Good luck!

Good Morning all, hope everyone has a wonderful first day of the week! We have our 4 H meeting tonight, getting it kicked off for the new school year. I will think about you all while we are having hamburgers and hotdogs. LOL.

I'm alittle tired this morning, stayed up to late!!

Eulaine, my daughter will enter the indoor county fair but won't be showing this fall.....she will show her goat come spring. Do you need her for your list?

OH JOY! She told me the other day that she thought showing chickens would be easier!!! Does anyone have an extra show cage that they would be willing to sell????? Got a feeling this could be our last goat!

I almost guessed silkies x nn, but couldn't imagine what they would look like. Silkies already remind me of a Dr. Suess character and a nn Silkie would be even more appropriate to illustrate a book by Dr. Suess. I bet they are cute.

Morning All!! Hope everyone had a good night. I woke up to my digital thermometer in the in guinea bator reading 107. I have no clue what happened. The mercury thermometer read 102. I hope they are okay, but then I don't expect much. As soon as I saw that, I quickly opened the lid and let some heat out. It is staying at a steady 101 since.

Edited to add:
I candled a few of the eggs and could see them moving around. Maybe they will be fine.
