I don't think so. I'm sure I would have noticed a camera pointed at me. Anyone that knows me is aware of how I feel about the way that veterans have been treated. I never was any good at keeping secrets.

HI ALL

I don't know if this is a weird idea but has anyone thought about taking pics of everyone at POOPS to save in a POOPS Fall 2009 album.

What I'm trying to say is take pics of each individual or family to put in an album to bring back each year to look at. Just look at how much we've grown since the first one.

You could sit up a backdrop with a some fabric or sheet and take everyone as the arrive. It's just a thought. We could also add pics of the entertainment to the album. What do you all think?

THINGS I LEARNED LIVING IN OKLAHOMA

1. A possum is a flat animal that sleeps in the middle of the road.

3. There are 10,000 types of spiders. All 10,000 of them live in Oklahoma , plus a couple no one's seen before.

7. 'Jaw-P?' means 'Did ya'll go to the bathroom?'

I accidently let the baby ducks in with the adult ducks today. I was trying to get a guinea out of their pen and they got out the gate with it. Everything was okay until the babies figured out how to get in the stock tank. The drakes didn't like that idea. As long as the babies were on the ground, the adults didn't bother them. I let them run around and swim with constant supervision for about an hour then locked them back in their pen. They truely enjoyed swimming and diving in the deep water.

BTW: How long should I leave the unhatched eggs in the incubator? I have nine that never pipped. I'm not sure about them. They don't smell but I have candled or anything since putting them in the hatcher.

Hi All,

Got all the framing done for my coop run today. Still have to build the gate. I found 72" X 150 Foot of wire at Atwoods. The frame is 73" tall, 4 x 4 x 8 posts are 2 foot in the ground, the cross members & center supports are all 2 x 4. All of it is treated wood. In the photo you can see the 10 x 16 coop, they only get the back half so the girls will have an 8 x 10 hen house. So how many hens do ya'll think I can run in this size space? O' yea, the run is 20 x 16, here's the pic.

MAllen - Looks super !!! Be sure you wire the top, too. Am sure
you've read all our "war stories" with the critters this year.

I'm thinking 10 - 15 hens will have your pen picked clean pretty
fast. But, looks like you have quite a bit of mowed area around
your coop and run. If you rake your clippings and take to them,
you could run a few more in there through summer and only
have to supplement the bugs and protein through the winter
months.....provided they let any grass grow back next spring....
