On Homestead news... We are nearly to completion on the building aspect of the COOP... The kids and I have been laying down the paint and hubby is fixing to get the linolium laid on hopefully this evening... It will be nice when its all done so the chicks can go chill out there!... They are aching to get outta the brooder box... I am aching for them to get out of there to... ha ha

A BIG WELCOME to all the newbies on our forum. In case you've
missed it, our fall POOPS rally is just around the corner......
September 26th at the KOA Campground at Choctaw, OK.
If you can be there with us and have juniors that are involved
in showing their birds, or any other types of critters, we are
planning to recognize our Junior BYC'ers Saturday afternoon.
I do have to place my order by noon Thursday, so send me a

I know I have seen a bob cat in my yard 3 times. Thats alot of food for 1 cat, even a cougar. Weird????

I was listening to one of those broadcasts and they said if it was a cougar that it was a endangered species and that you couldnt shoot it, well I am sorry if it is big enough to take small live stock and that would be big enough to take a small child. To me that is a threat and should be done away with, but that is just my opinion either that or trapped and placed in a zoo not in the public

Well my wife has officially told me that I am dangerous with tools! I had cut some limbs off of a tree that is in the center of my pens so that there is shade in all my pens, well I was trimming the smaller limbs to make some more roosts and somehow the knife that I was using slipped and stuck into my thumb, how I dont know it was the hand that I was cutting away from so I said owww, well maybe not exactly that but then I looked down and to the unpleasent scene there was the bone of my thumb right at the nuckle!!I am ok just recently had my tetnus shot and my wife is in the medical field so she fixed me up!!! How did everyone elses day go?
