I cannot find the percentages for the rest but it also depends on the single or double gene factor.

Since your chicks have 4 toes, I'm assuming they aren't too far into the generations of Showgirls.

Tonight, I went to the chicken auction in Durant. I got two single gene Showgirl chicks and a few Silkies which one of them I think is a Lavender.

It's sad I took 3 chickens to the auction and came home with 6.

I just checked and all my birds have 5 toes.

Donna what I know about Showgirls I have learned from Betsey. To get your percentages up you should breed a Showgirl with a Naked Neck but you need to outcross back to Silkie every few generations to keep everything in line so to speak.

It gets a whole lot more complicated too when you figure that the birds you are crossing may not be throwing the dominant genes needed to produce Showgirls. Some experimentation with the breeders may be needed as far as crossing which hen to which rooster.

I have a problem
My turkey candle didn't turn out right. Here the problem, since I stick a torn in my hand, I am not sure I can re pour. I had a bad reaction to it and it blood bad under the skin. My hand is black and blue from below the wrist to half way up my figures. Swollen like a ball and hurts to use and of course it has to be my right hand.
I will bring a basket with soaps, candles and little glass ducks. Would that be alright?
I will try real hard to re pour this weekend. But can't promise I can. The Dr said not to use it or the bleeding could starts all over again. And I used it and the blooding did start again but sames to be stopped now. Because it was bleeding inside and not a open cut is why it swelled and turned black.
