Q, The KOA is just (a mile) north of I-40. If you come I-44, you will need to get off at the Chandler or Wellston exit and come south on 177. That would be the fastest way to get here from I-44.
I don't know what 69 is like from your place to I-40. But once you are on I-40, it is a straight (sometimes bumpy) shot.

haha, well really it's to spare their embarrasment. Have you ever seen a longtail minus his tail? Pitiful...

Don't worry, I'll go regardless. Maybe I can show the pullets, they've pretty much already got their feathers back.

Still no catalog though.

MEMAW, The reason you only have one is a genetic thing. Your NN roo is not Homozygous. You should get about half and half but sometimes when it is just a fe eggs, the numbers are skewed.
I have the some problem hatching NN's.

oh my gosh, really?? i have been battling with that for 3 weeks on my silkies, i didn't realize that was what was going on until i got to looking at them real close- so i bathed them and am powdering them every week- is that stuff expensive? what dosage would you use on silkies?

There is an off brand that works just the same, I think it's around $15 a bottle (a bottle would last you forever since you'll only be using a few drops per bird - unless you have a bunch of birds!). For silkies, you could go 3 - 4 drops.

Monty :
How's your Quail hatch going this morning??. I have 35 so far and more coming every 5 minutes, I had one croak for no reason or maybe it was the fact that when I looked closer it was born with no feet or toes, and it was the only one that was pure white while the others were yellow when freshly hatched. wierd uhhh.

Well I got my bator up and running let it set for hours and got it regulated. It is a still air model and I am adding water and all. I have received a few tips from some of you and I appreciate it.

So, here's what I put in the bator 12 Black Copper Maran, 2 blue/black copper maran, 2 blue copper maran and 2 blue copper/birchen maran. I received the eggs from 4kidz on here from Florida.

I sure hope to get a good hatch. Any special tricks for maran eggs?

Thanks
