Well, we'll definitely be there. We are excited about one that is so close to us. And it is always fun to be in on the beginning of something like this.

I better not go to Fletcher this weekend, after forking out the bucks for my well I have to conserve my money for POOPS. My luck they will have a bunch of baby peachicks for like $5 each and a ton of other birds I want. I miss all of you guys and just can't wait for POOPS.

If by chance they do have peachicks for really cheap somebody better buy them and bring them to POOPS for me or I will cry.

ok, i have had to pull all the litter out of the coop due to a leak, the food is up a few inches so it didn't get flooded, but i noticed the roo is drinking out of the mud puddles in the swamp er run.... any danger to their health ?

silly things, let them out of the run during a dry period, lasted maybe half an hour and we all got caught in a downpour, so do they go back to the coop to get dry, course not, that would be sensible, they make a beeline for under the porch where it floods when it downpours!

Hi All,

So off I went to the Rogers county fair this evening, and guess what I found... and bought!!

They look like spun gold!! I think they will make excellent brood stock, the gal is laying already. Both were hatched this past spring by a young man named Chance here in Claremore. I'm suppose to pick them up on Monday afternoon. I made him a good price for them but I think they are worth it, especially if they produce that color in their chicks, wow!! I think this rooster might win the purple ribbon, I hope, I hope, I hope.....

I will stop turning them very very soon, they should hatch out this weekend if we are lucky. I did have three nice ones from my last hatch 2 mo ago but I think some of the other teenagers bullied them a bit and they got skinned up some on their backs, I have them in a seperate pen, they are healing very well and are otherwise healthy but I may not bring them if they look less than really good. they will be just fine once they go into full molt the first time that is a good ways off 1 yr -18 mo.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy about striking a deal with Chance. I tried to get a better photo of the roo, this one does not do him any justice. He's really broad across the breast & not even a year old yet. He is gonna look even better when he's in MY breeder pen, lol.

Nope, don't have any. You must be thinking of someone else. I have bought some Crele, BB Red, and Wheaton eggs that should be here and in the incubator next week. For bantams I think I'll be sticking to these three breeds for a while.

As it turns out I will not be able to make POOPS, rats!

The extended forcast so far calls for sunny sky's Temps in mid 80's. Now you have to take that with a grain of salt as all of us are well aware, but so far so good.
