Wow what a storm we had ( r having) here in Claremore! I had 2 month and a half old chicks and a keet get caught out in it and didn't have smarts enough to get in the coop. The EE died, the RIR was almost a gonner when I found them and the keet is all wet and cold. Ihave them under a heat lamp & hope they bounce back.

If I think of them as little cabbages I seem to like them better! How did you prepare them?

I like them pretty good, my kids used to call them 'little' cabbages too. I have weird kids, they have always liked trees (broccoli), real cabbage, and a lot of other things they are supposed to hate.

Stimp - your new signature line is sooooo true. If the clear thinkers and motivated people don't get involved in politics, we may not be happy with those who have the determination to knock on doors and shake hands, and then win the election.

Looks like the RIR is going to make it, yeah!!!! After warming up she opened her eyes and pulled her legs back under her. Amazing, I thought she was so close to dead there was no hope for her.

Brussels sprouts are great when you cut them in half, put them single layer in a microwave safe pan, sprinkle with raw cut up bacon, season with salt and pepper, cover with Saran wrap and microwave for 8-11 minutes. I never liked them very well until my sister-in-law prepared them like that. Same recipe works great with raw or frozen whole green beans.
