Ya I'm pretty burned out on school. I'm also working on a paper about Wetland Protection. But it can't just be about that; my second paper in a series of 5 is about public opinion of Wetland Protection. And each paper has to be 3-4 single space pages... Who are these people kidding!?

Thanks again for the dust bowl stories everyone. It was a horrible time and event in Oklahoma history, but I find it so interesting to hear stories that were first hand.

Alright, time to make my hour long commute to the land of paper writing!

Good Morning all :
Well we are really down to the wire on POOPS 2009 2 days, 1 day for some of us. If you have any last minute Questions or arrangements that need to made please try and post them today. There will be a laptop at POOPS so we can address any last minute concerns from the KOA site.

A few last minute annoucements :
1. We are still in need of some tables that can be used outside for various displays & raffles, so if you have a table that you can spare it would be great if you could bring them.

2. If you have not yet posted what you are bringing for the pot luck meals please contact Carah/Sooner with your contributions. We have over 50 people who plan to attend who have not yet pledged a dish, we really need to have enough to feed all our folks for 2 meals. We have in excess of 120 or more planning to attend.

3. If you plan to Bid at any of the Actions please bring enough small bill change, sometimes there is a change shortage.

4. When you first arrive please visit our welcome table where you can sign-in and get your name tags and Program itinerary of the day's events.

5. There will be absolutely no parking in or near the clubhouse circle, those with things such as birds/cages/food and larger or numerous items, can pull up, unload and then park in the designated POOPS parking area. parking is critical to the flow and to prevent any congestion of our event.

6. Those members that have Items for the 2 auctions and Raffles are asked to check them in at the auction & raffle areas when they arrive, so that people can view the items prior to bidding.

Ok so please plan to come early and stay late and have plenty of fun meeting your BYC online friends and enjoying all the chickens/poultry/food and fun that we have painstakenly planned for your enjoyment.

Nah, I didn't have a great hatching year on the breeds I wanted to work on.

I can't compete with the sumatra, yet, that are shown at Ohio. Gotta make my cubalaya bigger!

I want to be on the high side of the acceptable weight, instead of the low side. That's the only way I'd beat a Sumatra in AOSB.

Hey, y'all. There is an ad for 2 QVC incubators on our local Craigslist. They are wanting $350 for each of them. They have been sitting for 3 years, and the owner had used them before that so we know they are at least 5 years old (the lady I talked to wasn't the owner). Everything works. Has two thermostats, fan, and three egg turners with a capacity for 440 eggs each.

So, are they worth that? Anyone besides me interested in them? If you would like I could pick one up for you and bring it to POOPS and you could reimburse me there on Saturday.
