I get the same feeling about 80% or more of the birds I see sold at auctions. I'll see some tiny thing sell for 15 or 20 bucks and I'll just scratch my head. I guess people get them because they are pretty or quirky or something.

But then, I do have my ducks and geese, and they are pretty much useless feed-eaters, so who am I to talk?

The ducks and geese eat bugs and weeds, so they are useful. The hens also lay nice large eggs.

That's good to know.

They did each latch on to a different one. The girls have pointed out differences in the chick's personalities to me.

It seemed like it was a favor that Corey was allowing Liz to play with one of them though. I'll make sure it is carried out in the intended way now that I know.

Corey was quite the chicken shopper yesterday. She kept coming back to me with the chickens I had to go look at. (which meant the ones she wanted) She really enjoyed POOPS.

I just don't know where she came up with this chicken crazy stuff from...
