I want to thank those who made it possible for me to rebuild my flock. Okcarla, whirlwind, chiclooker, the Johnsons, TJ's na-na, oldmotherhen and the bestest delivery guy around, Teach. Teach went out of his way to deliver the eggs and birds to me at my barrel race. Wish we could have visited more, but it was HOT and his family was waiting on him. At one point my truck thermometer was at 114. Way too hot to be barrel racing!
Got the birds all settled in and am loading the incubator.
Thanks again everyone and I sure wish I could have gone to POOPS! My husband was impressed with everyone's kindness and was talking about going to the next POOPS with me!

Hmm this might be something Jason and I would be interested going in with you... Then meet up for pick up and payment at the spring poops... As it gets closer to the time of ordering I will let you know... we would probably look at get a pair if possible.

ok DD Aleisha won 6 chicks in the kids raffle, which btw we all love and will force them to be our pet chickens...lol one in particular of the bantams is one we are dubbing chatter box.... it wont stop chirping until one of us picks it up and holds it, then its quiet the moment you put it down its back to chirping... the other ones are annoyed by him/her so they kinda ignore the poor baby...

I finally got all of the eggs I got from Carla in the incubator. 12 dozen. I even had a little room to spare. Whew! Prayers for the hatching gods to smile upon us. I'm gonna have some extras if even half of these hatch. Spring POOPS here I come!

Hi everyone!

I am home sick from work today and finally have the internet back up and running. I will get my pic's uploaded soon!

Tina you need to add that link for snap fish to your sig line so I don't have to hunt for the post.

I took 5 roo's to POOPS with me and brought home, a pair of white cochins, 7 or 8 baby chicks (welsummer, coco maran & champine??) along with a pair of Partridge cochins I got before they made it there! I almost stuck with my deal of not bring more home than I took but as I said once Madison said she won them it was a done deal with daddy.

Thanks Nifty. Al is gonna be posting more information about things on the Chickenstock thread.
We had 113 people sign in and we know of some that never checked in. We figure we had around 120 there.
Thanks for the use of the Banner and for donating the GFM's.
BYC is super. Thanks for letting us Okies have a place to hang out and chat.

PS: Japanese hate the snow.

I will never forget a couple of years ago when it snowed and I had a grey japanese at the time. He would fly (or try to) from perch to perch, even if it was a patch of dried up bent over weeds to avoid landing in the snow.

Glad you got there safe. I got your pm. I am glad that roo didn't fly the coop in Hen town. (My olf stomping grounds)
Thanks for coming and making the event great and for taking more barrels off of my hands.
