P&B (I always thinkof peanut butter and jelly when I see P&B LOL) All summer all I had to do was set up a box of eggs in a private pen and put the broody in the pen and by nite she would be on the eggs. Now they just don't want accept the new box and eggs!
You know I think those entertainers at Poops must have some relatives here in Tennessee! I'm pretty sure I have seen some blood kin of theirs here!LOL(I'm serious-there are some real "native" people here!Lol)

It is a lot of work for the people that put it together, they have to start working on Spring one soon.

It is best to do it at night. If it can be a little bit away from the other chickens that is good too. I read an article in Backyard Poultry and about a man that only uses hens for hatching.
He put them in small coops that were basically enclosed to where the hen felt secluded.
In my experience moving them at night with minimal uproar and then letting them settle in on the nest usually works.
Just make sure that she settles in on the nest because sometimes they will just plop down and not get on the eggs. Then the eggs will get cold.

TY I am sure I will be better by tomorrow. TJ's Nana is the strawberry pie lady you are looking for. She started that at the spring one and will never be able to stop making them.

As for when POOPS will be held again I will let AL & Monty answer that. I believe it will be an annual event but the season has not been picked yet.

Okiechick, thanks for posting the video. I couldn't get it to play all the way through which is a good thing.
Al is gonna try to have his video done tonight.
Man were we bad. You notice I didn't do a whole lot of dancing.
I don't think we will be on American Idol or Dancing with the stars.

Yep TJ's Nana made them pies. I had one saved and what did I do. Forgot it for a second time. I am just gonna have to get the recipe and make it myself due to my memory loss. I was so frazzled how I was getting 7 runner ducks (thanks Marybeth for the loaner cage) umpteen birds home and forgot my pie. A few boxes a little duct tape and a couple zip ties and all was well. I just knew I was going to have to put some of them in the cab of the truck to go home. Then someone would have had to come find me in the bar ditch when one flew up onto my head. That would have been a site 15 or so birds flying around in the cab of my truck.

Yea I think it was talked about that this will be an annual thing from now on. It is alot of work to put such an event together just ask Carah, Nana, Beth, Grace, Al and Monty. They were the main ring leaders. Then all the help from almost everyone it would not have been possible with out all the helpers. Especially them young ones that moved them heavy tables, picked up trash and just did whatever was asked of them.

Poor Al, Monty and Carah it was, Hey (insert name) where, what, when, who................. I know I was guilty on all of them with all of them.

With Beth we just hollered for her on the speaker system.
