I was the lucky person to get that painting. It was my absolute favorite one.

Water and Wine

To my friends who enjoys a glass of wine.. . And those who don't.

As Ben Franklin said:
In wine there is wisdom,
In beer there is freedom,
In water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials,
Scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day,
At the end of the year we would have absorbed more than
1 kilo of Escherichia coli,
(E. Coli) - bacteria found in feces.

In other words, we are consuming
1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run that risk when
Drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whisky or other liquor),
Because alcohol has to go through a purification
Process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember:
Water = Poop, Wine = Health .

Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid,
Than to drink water and be full of poop.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information:
I'm doing it as a public service.

Pinkeye is basically a cold that the eye gets. It is HIGHLY contagious...be sure to keep hands washed after touching anything that comes in contact with her eye, tears, etc. Hopefully the drops the doctor prescribed will help soon, and if no a lot better by morning I would call the doc and ask for some eye drops that help to numb the eye. I have seen people come through the ER where I worked as a unit secretary that had BOTH eyes swollen shut and hard crust on their eyelids--not for the squimish! I guess the key here is that the earliest intervention is best. Good luck! Don't be afraid to bug the doc to get her needs met either--remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Indeed they ARE confusing! We have 3 cuckoo marans and I think I have 2 pullets and 1 idunno! LOL! I am still waiting for a crow or SOMETHING to be able to tell for sure!

Has anyone on here used the automatically closing coop door from Foy's? It seems like a really nice idea but have no idea if it is durable, etc. Anyone?

I toured Harvey Ussery's Homestead with a group a couple of years ago. He uses that type of poultry netting with great success. He said the foxes learned to stay away.

We are washing hands every ten minutes for evryone in the house. The doctor told me that if she is not bettr in the morning to call and they will get her something else. I don't ever hesitate with my kid's health. They both qualify for SoonerCare because my first husband is dead and I don't work. They don't use my current husband's income against them because he is not their biological father. I take them to the doctor for the smallest disturbances. I know some people will say that I am wasting taxpayr's money, but my little girl was born with no immune system due to a genetic disorder. If she sneezes, I'm calling the doctor. I would rather deal with someone's complaint than take a chance with their health. Thanks for all the advice. She is still just laying here crying. It helped when I pulled her hair back out of her face, but not much. She had mac & cheese for dinner and I'm going to try to get her to pass out. I actually made a homemade toddler portion of mac & cheese. It was interesting. She didn't want to try it because it didn't come out of a blue box. Kraft is her favorite but we usually don't keep it in the house.
