Hey Monty - Bill said to ask you if you had talked to Terry Britt.
He had so many Champion Ribbons at Tulsa, they had to get
him a box to put them in !!!!!!

Gees, it's turning too cold, too fast. Sounds like all of us in the
NE part of the state need to be sure the plugs are in our boats.
They are promising our immediate area 4.5" of rain through the
day tomorrow.

Sooner, am thinking you need to pick up some visqueen and
cut you some squares and staple them over your wire on the
sides of your coop. They've never been outside at night before.
And, maybe add some more bedding for them to snuggle in.

Have a good one !

3 Out now YEAH!

I wonder what should I expect for my first hatch? Is three terrible? I wish it was better but.

Also, when do you remove the little chicks? I don't see a pipped shell in the bunch. today is day 21

Thanks

BTW Who is exibiting at the fair? I would love to come introduce myself and say HI. We will be going in a couple days, if you are still there.

Sooner - My Bad ! Caught Bill and went back to show him your
new coop and see that the sides are enclosed with plywood. I
had it in my head that the sides were open. He said that the
coop looks SUPER and that they'll be fine.

Quenston - PM me with your last name. I have an envelope I
need to send to Lynnea. Thanks.

Have a good one !

Hey Al,

That young rooster I swapped you is out of one of my hens and a Terry Britt bred cock. He has a lot of potential.

I thought the Lemon Blue Moderns at the fair were really cool looking, except for the "Modern" part. I can't remember seeing Lemon Blue Cochins, but Lemon Blue is a neat color. Great, now I'm hungry.

You must be reading my mind, i was planning to cut up an old trap that I have to do just that. I will have to find some clear plastic for the front doors as I still want them to have pleanty of light. They are well blocked from any wind as I still have them sitting under the awnning of the feed building.

I read you second post and still think I will cover the two bottom sides to keep any draft from coming up the in the back where the wire is.

The chicks have hatched at 11:00 pm last night and then again at 8:00am today The one that hatched at 8:00 is still stumbling around like a drunk. The other 2 are jumping on the other eggs and I am afraid they are going to get burned on the heating element. Thanks Buckguy

Ha! I know if I started hatching I'd be up all night watching the incubator and I'd be a mess! But I still think that maybe someday I'll try it. I like the idea of ordering eggs of the breeds I want. Must stop thinking about it...!!
