Yes, some long hair cats do need have to be shaved if their hair gets too matted.

My cat gets matted at the drop of a hat. I shave his armpits and bloomers every couple of weeks and I've never been scratched. Depends on the cat.

I have shown breeds not recognized by the APA. For large fowl, unrecognized breeds get lumped into the All Other class.

For AGB, I would think they would be placed in the SCCL class. You should get Best of Breed without any problems. A bird can place higher but that will really depend upon the competition since there isn't a standard to grade them by.

Unrecognized breeds cannot win Best of Show in an APA/ABA show.

A breed can be added to the APA provided there are at least a certain # of breeders that attend a certain # of shows with a certain # of total birds being shown. Those breeders then have to get together and write out the breed's standard to be added.

There are game bird only shows that you can show in too. We have one coming up on November 21st at Tonkawa, OK. It's called the Oklahoma Game and Oriental Fowl Show. It does list American Game (LF & Bantam) as classes. If you want the contact info, PM me.

If you like them and they are quality birds, you might really enjoy showing them.

Could you shhotme some info on that show..we got a couple really nice shamo bantams and well could use some more!!!

Stimpy,

Those are beautiful birds. I moved the eggs I got from you this morning into the hatcher. I have 17 good looking embryos. I had to candle them all before adding each one. A couple of chicks even waved! I'm looking forward to getting a good start of them.

Look out American Class, we almost have Stimpy Rocks!

TJ's NaNa,

I'm looking into the Fayetteville issue. We have a 4 hour drive and I cannot see getting on the road at 2 or 3 in the morning. I would have grumpy kids and that would make for a grumpy momma which would not be good for a show! Where there's a will, there's a way. Somehow rooms must be found.
