The two that you gave to Corey & Liz are doing wonderfully too!
Good, glad to hear!!! I can not wait until the roos grow their combs. I have never had any BR's and I looked up info on sexing them by spot on the head and leg fronts. So now I want to see how acurate I was, lol. Probably not very, but still anxiously waiting, lol.

I wish I had been here earlier!!! I have a good friend who is from Mumbai, India (yeah, that might be spelled wrong?) and she loves educating people on various aspects of India.
nnbreeder - glad Teva is alright. She is a neat lady and I always enjoy talking to her.
The pictures of the tall white Malay stag were eye opening. I don't think of chickens, other than Jersey Giants, getting that tall.
Education time (for me) - what is the difference between a cockerel, a stag and a rooster? I know that young male chickens are called cockerels until they start crowing and then they become a rooster (like young female chickens are a pullet until they start laying eggs and then they are a hen) but I am not familiar with the age and designation of a male chicken as a "stag"
I think I may have some sort of oriental. I bought it at auction as a chick with 5 RIR chicks (it was supposed to be 6 RIR chicks) but as it has grown it has started to show that long, lanky look of the birds y'all are posting pictures of. It beginning to tower over all my other chickens and is only 5 months old. Same general coloring of these dark Reds, but with subtle differences. It looks kind of like one of nnbreeder's bantams pictured.
If I can get a picture of it (not even sure about the gender any more) I'll post it.
Well I'm at home today... my girl is running a fever and the boyfriend isn't feeling well either (it's fall break, he was going to watch her while I worked both jobs today). I don't know if they have the same thing, so I'm isolating them.... "you! stay in your room!".

Sooner, the way you phrased the temperature gave me pause..... I read "gonna be 61" and thought "she isn't anywhere near that age!"
LOL, I was just excited that there wasn't going to be rain! Lately my wrist have been hurting like I am 61! I was rough on my body as a teenager playing every sport I could.
