It was great meeting you!!! I am so glad we had time to sit and chat over those great shakes!!! I hope you liked your shirt and please tell your SIL thanks for the info on the goat food & exercise! Those were some good looking birds you got this morning!

You will have to let us know the next time you are coming through so we can meet up again! I hope you can make it to the next POOPS!

Thanks so much for letting me in on the party! It was good to see Carah and Madison again, and to finally meet the Famous and Fabulous dachsunds! I really enjoyed our visit, too. Thank you for the wonderful shake and showing us the pretty little birds you scored at Afton, and most of all for taking the time out of your busy trip to meet us. Have a safe trip back to Tennessee!

Teach -
I thought of you this evening as I was butchering a rabbit this evening and explaining all the organs and such to 3 boys about 12 years old. It was like a science class.
I also found a garden snake ???? under a pan in the garden, laying on top of the grass. This one was about 18 inches long and about as big around as a dime. It was fun to get it to curl around my arm.

My thoughts are prayers are with you & your family! I lost my grandma & pa in the last three years it was very hard for me. I hope she can pull through this in order for the family & you to be able to spend some time with her.

You could set any eggs laid tomorrow and if they are close enough in proximity to the other eggs, they will likely all hatch at about the same time. There is something about putting eggs together like that - there is a transfer of ???? between the eggs that causes the eggs with a few days of the first ones to mature and hatch at the same time, even if they themselves have been in the incubator less than 21 days. That is why if I am setting eggs a week apart, I try to leave a row of empty holders between the two groups of eggs, so the first group doesn't affect the growth rate of the second group and vice versa.

Anyone with more knowlege, feel free to tell me that I am believing an old wives tale - I am just repeating what someone who used to hatch thousands of quail each month told me.

Wow, that is interesting. I have never heard that before. I will look and see what we have tomorrow then, lol. They are all slowing down quickly here, but we still have a few laying out of all of our hens.

OK since I am the first one to post! Here goes:

Teach - remember ~ I am the person who knows there is a special place in heaven for teachers, because I would never have the patience to be one. I have to admit though, it was sort of cool cutting into various parts and grossing some of the boys out.

Okay, you guys already know I'm nuts so I'll tell you the dream I had last night.

I dreamed that I went outside in the morning and there was a monkey in my garden. I like to think I like all animals, but it's not really true, because I DO NOT LIKE MONKEYS. I don't know why, but I just don't. Anyway, this one was a little bigger than a capuchin. In my dream I knew it was there to try to kill my chickens, my cats, and my dog if I didn't do something about it. I was trying to keep my pets away from it, but all my animals wanted to go up to the monkey to see what it was and were circled all around it. I shot the monkey. But, one bullet went through the monkey and hit one of my cats. Although in my dream the shot cat had a bullet hole in her, she wasn't bleeding or acting hurt. Then I woke up.

Is that weird or what?

Roy : Hey Bud Yeah Blanchard is what I would recomend for a few reasons, one less travel time for you, more birds and different other neat things, it's a pretty good auction. And best of all at that auction there are more of us BYC Okies that go there, maybe 15 or more of us. So yes when can we count on you, I will personally make sure you and the boy's have a good time, heck Stimpy's GS was playin football with the other kids till dark, so they will feel right at home. Come on down you know we would love to see ya Boy!!!!.
