Well, I saw one lady I had seen several times at Blanchard, even volunteering sometimes up at the auction table, so I'm pretty sure sure she must know something. She seemed to be hanging around the folks who are running it.

I also think the fact that there were so many new faces to the auction scene at that last auction might be a draw for sellers. And considering the prices seemed pretty decent might be a draw, too.

Next auction is the same date and time as Cement and the oddball Blanchard auction, which is probably why they are doing the free food thing. Personally I think they would be better off just dropping the first Saturday thing and just shooting for the 3rd. It looks bad when there is nobody there.

She charged sales tax at a livestock auction? In Oklahoma? Wow - I thought OK exempts sales tax on livestock sold at auction...

Exactly !!!!!!!!!!! They are tax exempt, she has since changed her policy but the damage is done. These small livestock auctions really have nothing to lose and they know it. they have 0 zero overhead and when they can't cut the mustard they just pack up and move to another podunk town for a couple of months. So anyway she is just making poor decisions because she is listening to Id**ts.

This last time they only taxed the hardware, not the critters. At least, that is what the auctioneer announced from the stange.

Nope, if you have a tax id number they are not supposed to charge tax but if you don't any item is taxable.
