I have New Zealand does, California does, some large mutt rabbits, a California buck, a Champagne de'Argent buck and a number of Flemish Giants. I like to cross the New Zealands, Californias and Flemish in various combinations for rapid growth. I also am keeping several lines of the Flemish to sell as pets and show rabbits.

wow......I think mine are New Zealands...... but not all the same........just got them from a friend of hubby's..... now he needs to bring me a buck........if you have a buck for sale. please let me know, I really didnt want to feed these all winter without being productive

If I do not get a buck I think I may just throw them back at him

I don't have any New Zealand bucks, but will check the rabbits in the grow-out pen and see if any are bucks. They are Californias and too old for fryers, but would make a nice cross with the New Zealands for a rapid growth rabbit. I will let you know.

I am off to the job that allows me to enjoy my hobbies and farming persuits. Everyone needs to put their umbrella in the car today, from the weather reports.
Hope everyone gets to feeling better today.

, was out early wrestling with the her tempory brahma coop, inside the run, for a while the coop was winning geting the upper hand by wrapping itself around the thing she didn't want it attached to, HER, finally got it attached to the coop fence, and was able to let the brahma's be at peace in thier temp. coop. then we heard the weather report. sigh.

Well both kids made it on the bus this morning. Finally no more flu in the house. I got my spray bottle with 10% bleach and went over every hard surface in the house, the rest got a spray of Lysol. Hubby and I aren't sick and don't plan on getting that way. Since I already had the bleach out, I cleaned all three incubators and have two warming up. I will get some eggs into them today. I think I will just do chickens for now maybe I'll throw in some guineas when these are done. I think I'll wait on the duck eggs until Spring, they don't feather out as quickly. I may have a line on some more Serama eggs. If I do, I'll hatch out as many as possible and may have some to sell in the Spring. I know there are a few out there that want them. My one little Serama is still itty bitty. I don't think it has reached the 3 inch mark yet. It will be 4 weeks old Friday. It is feathering out nicely but seems to be staying yellow. I didn't think there were yellow adult Seramas. It still has no comb, so it may be a little pullet. I hope everyone is ready for the rain. It has been raining here all morning.
