I wonder if before the car was invented if there were such things as used buggy lots & used buggy salesmen....

Sorry, the things that go through my mind sometimes amazes even me, it's a real carnival in there.

I often worm them at time of treating for other things depending on how the bird is in general of course. If what you use doesn't work swap to LS-50 for the worst ones. Turkeys is how I started using it in the first place!

Q get some Terramycin eye ointment and use that on their eyes. Tractor Supply has it I know and it's hot or miss whether a smaller feed store would. Be sure too that you practice good boi-security on these new birds. Be sure to care for them last and wash up good after handling them.

Actually they are still around and known as horse traders or just traders. Well those are the kind discriptions.

I got the eye ointment at Atwoods in the glass case with cattle meds. It ran about $13.

Thanks Les,

I appreciate the advice. I'm going to do the Wazine in the morning. Most of the turkeys have responded really well to the Terra-Bac and the swelling has gone down. However, I have one poor turkey that his cheeks are so swollen that he's having trouble seeing. I had to put him in front of the food and water dishes today and he acted as if he was starved and dieing of thirst. I guess he couldn't see the food and water bowls. I guess I should switch to the LS-50. I was hoping the cheaper antibiotics would do the trick, since LS-50 is so darn expensive. I've got a new package of it though, and it's definitely worth it to save a turkey. Most of the turkeys look great, it's only about 5 out of 50 young turkeys, and I sure don't want it to spread to all my other birds.

There have been times during either really wet or really dry years that our fridge door was full of different anti-biotic bottles. The vet that used to be here in town was a gem. Teva could give him all the vitals/details of an illness in a critter and he would draw up what was needed with no office call cost. Often times she would hang around and help him work cattle and even helped with the small animals as Doc's eyesight wasn't what it used to be.

Hey Al,

Sorry I was a no-show last night. I messed with that lumber until it was too late to get around and make it to Blanchard. I'll make the next one tho.

I was so sore and stiff this morning that I felt like I had taken a beating. And it's all still on the trailer. I ain't looking forward to unloading it. I may just unhook from the trailer and unload it as I need it.

I spent part of today looking into new projects that I might decide to start. Once the sheds and porch are finished I'll be all caught up. I can't have that.

Is this the "said information" that I asked you for a copy of???? I'm still
waiting for someone to tell me where I can find a copy of the
"entertainment". TJ and Pa-Pa were kinda involved in it, and I
would like to have a copy of it for them.

Shavon - I mailed a letter/pictures addressed to "Lauren" Friday....
Figured she'd get a kick out of a letter addressed to "her".....

Q - I mailed a couple of pictures to you/Carolyn Friday as well.
I had a couple of pictures of "both" of you with the quilt.

Sooner - Bill is gonna talk to "the powers that be" over at
Fayetteville in the morning and see just when they're gonna
lock the gates Friday night. Will help us decide just how we're
gonna whip Cherokee County/Fayetteville all at the same time.

Teach - Had a sanctioned judge look at Mr. C today (that little
dark Crele that we got from you back in the spring). We have
been concerned about a little "z" down at the front of his
comb. The judge says it might be a "little" deduct...but if he
was his bird.......he'd be showing him......... Too late to get
him in at Fayetteville......but you'll see his backside at Shawnee,
for sure !!!!!!!!! He is Na-Na's bird !!!!!

Have a good one !

The auctioneers sister in law as of this afternoon seemed to be some better.

Al, i will make sure i have some tylenol for all the headaches

Do not know why i am always so sore after an auction. Guess i need to use more of those lazy muscles.

I bought a hen last night and which i can figure out what kind she my be. I might have to bring her to the sale and have a name this breed contest or something.

Sure glad Carla and Gerald brought some hatching eggs so i can try out my new used incubator out before main hatching season.

Everyone needs to mark their calendar that the next sale will be one week earlier in Nov.
The sale will be Nov 7th then the next will be Nov 28th.

Realize that Cement and Fletcher is the same night. So there will be choices and i am having hard time deciding which one to goto HA HA

It seems to be hard to get around and shake everyones hand and to speak to each of you. It always good to see everyone having fun.

Did anyone from BYC win any of the two Halloween drawings? I did not get to see who all won.

I guess better to get rest.

Jerry
