nnbreeder - I wonder if anyone reported that goon. I think it was Carla that said the only other post was in a Minnesota thread or something. Buster thinks its someone who's already been banned once. These darned chicken opposers.

I have two dead dogs out back. The neighbor's huskies decided they needed a late night snack. Luckily they only got 3 of the meat birds. Right now we are waiting on someone from the sheriff's office to call. I took lots of photos and we haven't moved any of the dead animals. The neighbor's parents asked us to shoot the dogs a couple of weeks ago because they can't stand them. These dogs would come into our yard and attack us. They live about a block away. Needless to say, they won't bothering anyone anymore.

smfamf - Oh I am so sorry.

That's a tough situation. When I worked for our county, our policy was: "If you, your family, or your livestock feel threatened, you have the right to defend yourself and them." I don't see how you could get in any trouble. Have you called the county? Or do you think your neighbors will? Keep us updated!

nnbreeder - They think they can get this goofy bunch of softies to be mean enough to get locked? Please...

I called the cops and told them that my DH shot the dogs and they might wanna send an officer out. The owners think they are "all that," so we figured it would be best to already have it reported. The law here states that it is illegal to shoot any firearm in town. We had three guns going before they stopped breathing. My DH, DS, and myself were each holding one. Jordan may only be 12 but he knows how to aim in town and around others. He is only allowed to shoot at varmits when Andrew isn't home. He usually only hits what he is aiming at or the ditch. I know the town ordinances by heart. I was required to learn them because of my job. I am the town clerk/treasurer.

I have no idea, but I truly believe that each state has their wack job drivers.

Colorado they think their cars are able to over come heavy snow...(too many times we would see car drivers try and 4 wheel drive in the snow)

Oklahoma: Drivers stay in the slow lane even though there is room for them to move over to the left lane... when Someone is needing to Merge off the ramp... and dont get me started on the stop lights

California drive too slow..

JEANNIE

Why did the chicken join the band?
Because he had the drumsticks!

Yes!!! It's terrible!!!! Oklahomans also don't know what to do at Yield signs!!!!!

I lived on the Central Coast in California, and loved the way they drove there. They moved over when you wanted to merge, didn't drive too slow, and if they were driving fast, they weren't completely reckless about it.

Whereabouts in CA did you live? I also lived on the central coast...near San Luis Obispo...

I have only lived here since '07 and I am as Okie as they come! Hooray for Okies!!

smfamf - Oh I didn't realize you lived in town!! Glad to hear there are still some others out there who know how to handle a firearm! But I imagine the majority of us do; we gotta be ready to save our chickies if necessary! Buy that kiddo somethin cool tomorrow. Lol

Does anyone know about how much the electric water heaters cost? I'm talkin about the little ones that go under buckets, not inside water troughs. Although I have some of those, wonder if I could rig one up to work like I want...

Or maybe my old fishtank heaters, I use small waterers...

Although it doesn't look like our weather's ever gonna cold enough to need it.

I was on I-5 going Noth in an 18 wheeler and had a guy cut me off, just came out of nowhere down the off ramp. Had to come to a complete stop during rush hour traffic to avoid this idiot. He was on a bicycle!!

And Ca. is the only place I have ever gotten a warning for going too slow. Our trucks were goverened out at 68mph and I was giving it all she had in a 55mph zone. It was called "impeding the flow of traffic"

And don't even get me started on Ca. DOT or the Banning scales!!!
