Beth how are you this evening????
Buster thanks for posting that picture that is really helpful and I have looked for something like that and have never found anything1!!
On a different note my neighbor came over yelling in my window saying that my cochins were out and at least one of them was dead, we got out there and my wifes dads dog had gotten one of our blue cochins but the rest were fine! Any how my father-n-law came over prepared to kill his dog and I explained that it was partially our fault for not shutting the door all the way so now we have a dog running around with a chicken tied to its neck!!! So it has been a exciting day so far.
Oh goodness...I just got caught up and am praying for everyone who is sick or hurting, especially Teach's dad, Dakota, Cammie's sister, Gerald, and everyone who is feeling trying to kick the aches, pains, or flu-like symptoms - or feels them coming on. These are the times I'm kind of glad I don't usually work in close quarters with a bunch of people.
Hey everyone: thank you for all of the prayers, but I'm afraid we're gonna have to keep em coming. Mom and dad just got home, and still haven't slept at all. It is nothing like the flu or anything like that. Sister checked herself out today, decided that we were the problem and that she didn't need help anymore. She's 19 so there isn't anything we can do but pray that God keeps her safe and clears this mess in her head.
One of my EE pullets is drooping a wing.....I am so depressed. You know I prayed alot about getting extra hens and it seems like I just can't hear God....ever....I'm going to bed...I give the heck up...
Henny keep your head up it seems like this has been a trying last couple of months for alot of people with illnesses in family and flock, keep your head up and hopefully this weather will straighten up and the flocks and families will start getting better!!
Aw Henney, don't be down! Its only like 6:30, this is the perfect time to sit under a blanket and drink hot cocoa!
Why am I not doing that already? Lol
Things work out according to God's plan, even if its not what we expected, or if we don't see it til years later. Someone on the board told me this summer that God never gives us more than we can handle.
Grace - I don't remember for sure......LOL Seems like they entered 26 and
ended up taking 25. Kendra won the Featherlegged with her other
Standard Blue Cochin Pullet.
Speaking of - Anybody on here have a big Splash Cochin Roo that they
would part with?
And, Grace - I am soooooooo sorry. Dandelion and I even talked about
it and when it was time to load up, guess she/I had forgotten and they
had already left. So, I still have your jacket hanging in the closet in
the 5th wheel. The show over there, being their first, went pretty
well until the last couple of hours. Then, paperwork confusion set
in on them. Everyone got pretty frustrated wanting to get outta there.
I can send it to you if you'll send me your full name/address, or it
will be left in the camper and will be with us at Shawnee.
I still feel rougher than a boot, but got through Bill's b'day deal at
his daughter's this afternoon without hacking all over everyone.
Gotta take him to Tulsa for the electrical tests on his hand in
the morning. But, by Tuesday, if I still am not feeling any better,
guess I'm gonna have to go see a doctor and get some real
meds. If I wasn't deathly allergic to penicillan, Bill could have
already cured me with some of his chicken meds..........LOL
Will check the camera in the morning and see if I have any
decent pictures of the kids in the showmanship class.
