Oh wanted to add me and Skyla had a bbw turkey hatch out today and another pipped out of 3. Not sure its pure bbw as the lady had some royal palms and beltsvilles running around also. From what I hear the toms cant breed the hens though so who knows.

Well I have my registration in the mail for the Shawnee show so once we get it sent off we will be locked in to going to Shawnee!!!! My DD is so excited!! And I must admit I am a little excited myself.......

Hi all! Thanks Sooner for posting the news about dachsund's surgery - had 80% blockage and a stent put in, and he is in ICU but his wife says he should be able to come home tomorrow. I thought it was kind of his wife Brenda to remember us and to let us know how he is...that and I've been nagging him to be sure and let us know.

Sorry I can't respond to all I want to...this week is going to be nuts for me so I may not be on for several days.

Teach - glad you're home safe, and I'm glad you're getting some family time.

Dande - glad you also made it home safe with kids and chickens after driving all over OK & AR!

When at a show don't be afraid to ask questions. After all there is a big common factor there and those that have experiance showing will be happy to show her the ropes. Everyone I have met there have always been helpful and friendly. That is the main reason I go there, to see old friends and to find new ones.

My hen is still hanging in there....But I don't think I got all the infection....the swelling is not going down.... I feel like I'm just treading water...She is up and walking around...getting vitamins and egg concoction every day with penicillin shots and iodine on the wound....There still isn't any bad tissue....should I be soaking the wound everyday?
